Whew what a Cruise....what a beautiful day, and fabulous organization by TIM MAULDIN....killer stuff, cool roads, great stops, wonderful lunch and polished it off with ICE CREAM in Keswick. It was perfect until "speed racer" a/k/a "shift boy".....started "GRACIE".....and clutch felt a little strange (thought it was hung up on floor mat) .....took off anyway....DID NOT GET FAR....the clutch slave blew....shot all the fluid out....could not shift...DEAD IN THE WATER! ......to the rescue was MR PAUL PROE (Proefrock) he popped the hood, stuck his head into the engine compartment, and his only comment was "HMMMM. THIS AIN'T GOOD"......described the problem perfectly.....this warranted a call to AAA and a Flat Bed Ride to Lake Saint Louis....all good and awaiting the magic of the GATEWAY COBRA CLUB experts....lead by Paul Proe ......I would be extremely remiss if Barbara and I did not THANK ALL ( Tim/Linda - Mark - KEITH Wilson and Paul/ Cindy) who stood on the side of the road waiting for just shy of one hour...waiting for AAA to arrive and snatch up "GRACIE"....they ALL WAITED with Barbara and I.....on the side of the road!!!!! Class Act is my observation.....thank you guys, much appreciated.....magic should happen this coming Tuesday...!
