The wife and I were talking and I may look into a change. If the tides are right and we can swing it we may move back to Stl:eek:. You know the deal, family is there not here. Here is our thought: we would keep the biz down here and probably the house and look for something in Stl. I can sell. I can manage. I have had 34 employees at my peak and I have won multiple sales awards for the company I started out with after college.

I know this is vague, but if anyone has ideas I am open. Maybe I can start making more events I am missing out on a ton of fun stuff within the club:D!

Hmmmm, tough call (to my way of thinkin). Leave The Lake lifestyle and move back here....Well, guess after livin there a while you can see if it's worth it there or not. Once upon a time, Linda and I both had the opportunity to move to Atlanta for our job's. We put a deposit down on an apartment and by the time we got back, changed our minds since Linda's family was here. No, a little different situation than what you have in that you have lived here before. Sounds like you have the choice of the best of both worlds available. If that is the case and you can swing it, why not. Of course we would love to have you here for more events (which brings up a point that we have not been your way this year ) and I'm sure the wives would like another "hen" in the "pen" :D I say come on, but that's me.

Brandon, You know you and the family will be welcomed up here with open arms whether you live at the lake or up here. Heck we told you to come up for the weekend and stay at our place. Permanent moves though need to be thought out thoroughly. The job market in STL can be a little rocky right now, but that's probably the same everywhere. A good saleman can always make it. Let us know if you need anything and I'll keep a lookout for houses for sale with big garages. ;)

I would love to see you more often kid, but in the end you must do what's right for your family & if that works out that it is closer to us, then we will be the benefactors. :)

While the club is a good side benefit the priority is the family. I love the lake and the lifestyle, BUT it is very difficult to meet friends and have a social life. It is a mainly retirement community during the week and while I have the biz Shannon doesn't have much down here. Being born and raised in Stl all our friends and family are there. Aside from that, you all have read my posts in the past, I am a firm believer that I am responsible for my own well being. I am ready to move past worrying about whether my laborers are drunk, hung over, in a fight with "thier ol' lady", locked up, etc.

This is actually a good time because I don't NEED to make the change I WANT to make the change. If the right opportunity presents itself I'm packing the truck if not I keep looking.

You know what they say "When life hands you lemons add ice and vodka and see what comes next." or something like that, I forget the exact wording:D

Well let us know what to look for and we can keep our eyes and ears out for you. I have to say, I love the attitude though.

Thanks for the encouraging words. I am looking for a sales position. Preferably B2B, medical, industrial. Really I am open. I want to find something that I can make a better than average income where hard work pays off. With owning the biz 60-70hrs a week are the norm.

I have applied for a number of jobs in Stl but have yet to hear back. I have applied to Red Bull, Stanley Works, Federated Investors, Henry Schein to name a few. There are a couple others too. I have had a offer to be a business consultant from a great firm, but I am also still looking.

If anyone knows anything let me know.
