St louis event 8

Ran event 8 today and took my 4th win of the year. I was not quite as fast as last event, but still pretty good. I meant to switch up the camera views, but never got around to it. Guess you will have to suffer with the low shot.

Keith brought his roadster out today and ran. I will let him tell you his perspective of the course which I thought was pretty tough. It was very easy to screw up if you did not look far enough ahead. I actually hit the rev limiter in 2 different places which is a 1st for me.

OK here goes.

Heat 1 Cold tires and a bit nervous,first 5-6 turns are good,come to a tight left hander and over accelerate out of the turn, it ends with a snap spin, refire engine and continue on with no issues for a lowly 1:06.

Heat 2 First 4 turns good, thinking about the corner that thru me on the first run only to miss a cone before I got there = DNF

Heat 3 1st clean run through entire course :52 run, so I am like :06 off of Mikes times ( not that I was expecting to be as fast, but a comparison for everyone)

Heat 4 Confidence up, clean run untill second to last turn where I came in a little too fast and had to brake harder,so coming out I got on the power too soon and got the tail end out a little too far resulting in running off course = DNF

Heat 5 Had my best run going up to the point where I missed another cone, what made it worse was it was in the area where we worked earlier in the day.

All in all a great day, the car was amazing, good power,handled great, problem was somewhere between my eyes,brain,hands and feet. It will be better next time.
