Heres the Fix

Subject: How to Fix Welfare

Put me in charge of food stamps. I'd get rid of Lone Star cards; no cash for
Ding Dongs or Ho Ho's, just money for 50-pound bags of rice and beans,
blocks of cheese and all the powdered milk you can haul away. If you want
steak and frozen pizza, then get a job.

Put me in charge of Medicaid. The first thing I'd do is to get women
Norplant birth control implants or tubal ligations. Then, we'll test
recipients for drugs, alcohol, and nicotine and document all tattoos and
piercings. If you want to reproduce or use drugs, alcohol, smoke or get
tats and piercings, then get a job.

Put me in charge of government housing. Ever live in a military barracks?
You will maintain our property in a clean and good state of repair. Your
"home" will be subject to inspections anytime and possessions will be
inventoried.. If you want a plasma TV or Xbox 360, then get a job and your
own place.

In addition, you will either present a check stub from a job each week or
you will report to a "government" job. It may be cleaning the roadways of
trash, painting and repairing public housing, whatever we find for you. We
will sell your 22 inch rims and low profile tires and your blasting stereo
and speakers and put that money toward the "common good."

Before you write that I've violated someone's rights, realize that all of
the above is voluntary. If you want our money, accept our rules. Before
you say that this would be "demeaning" and ruin their "self esteem,"
consider that it wasn't that long ago that taking someone else's money for
doing absolutely nothing was demeaning and lowered self esteem.

If we are expected to pay for other people's mistakes we should at least
attempt to make them learn from their bad choices. The current system
rewards them for continuing to make bad choices.

AND while you are on Government subsistence, you no longer can VOTE! Yes,
that is correct. For you to vote would be a conflict of interest. You will
voluntarily remove yourself from voting while you are receiving a Government
welfare check. If you want to vote, then get a job.

WOW Mikey what got you started? Was it something I said? :p Geez I hope not. Maybe I picked the wrong topic for you. :D:D Mikey for Prez. :D

I gave up along time ago being political correct. I think there is some out there that are blind or just dumb and lead sheltered lives. They need a smack on the side of there head to get that thing called a brain that came standard at birth working but over the years has either just got numb or died and needs a jump start. MY RANT.

I get to go to court on a guy that dumped two dogs in west alton and it has taken 2 years to get this a hole into court. Was at a gas station and saw him pull up to the pumps get out and let 2 black labs out, he finished fueling up and me and another guy saw this and blocked the a hole in. Then I call 911 on cell phone and st charles county arived, we told him what we both witnessed and this clown denied dumping 2 dogs. They had took off running east past the post office ( only post office in the usa in a trailer ). The cop ran his plates and him and arrested him on the spot on a out standing warrant for something else. Pros att called me and asked if I would appear and I said wouldn't miss it if I was on my death bed. I hope they throw the book at this a hole.

Mike:

What is his crime?

I'll admit up front that I don't think that Michael Vick should have spent any time in jail. Dogs, cats, mice, etc are just animals. No human should lose his freedom over an animal.

A person commits the crime of animal abandonment if the person intentionally, knowingly, recklessly or with criminal negligence leaves a domestic animal. Understand this is a good charge on this guy. They had 2 witnesses and I understand its more then a fine. You know anything about this dave. Left 2 dogs with out a way to take care of themselves and a high risk of being hit by a vehicle with possible injury to humans. Hope they hang this sob.

Steve,

We agree on a lot of issues...but not on this one.

Anyone who can willing abuse or intentionally cause harm to an animal is capable of doing the same toward a human. Animal abuse is especially egregious if that animal has learned to depend upon and trust that human for it's care.

The abuse of any creature exposes a predisposition toward cruelty that cannot be limited just... to animals.

Here is part of the law and remember this a hole dumped 2 nice dogs
2005 Missouri Code - § 578.009. — Animal neglect and abandonment--penalties.
Share | 578.009. 1. A person is guilty of animal neglect when he has custody or ownership or both of an animal and fails to provide adequate care or adequate control, which results in substantial harm to the animal.

2. A person is guilty of abandonment when he has knowingly abandoned an animal in any place without making provisions for its adequate care.

3. Animal neglect and abandonment is a class C misdemeanor upon first conviction and for each offense, punishable by imprisonment or a fine not to exceed five hundred dollars, or both, and a class B misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment or a fine not to exceed one thousand dollars, or both upon the second and all subsequent convictions. All fines and penalties for a first conviction of animal neglect or abandonment may be waived by the court provided that the person found guilty of animal neglect or abandonment shows that adequate, permanent remedies for the neglect or abandonment have been made. Reasonable costs incurred for the care and maintenance of neglected or abandoned animals may not be waived. This section shall not apply to the provisions of section 578.007.

4. In addition to any other penalty imposed by this section, the court may order a person found guilty of animal neglect or abandonment to pay all reasonable costs and expenses necessary for:

(1) The care and maintenance of neglected or abandoned animals within the person's custody or ownership;

(2) The disposal of any dead or diseased animals within the person's custody or ownership;

(3) The reduction of resulting organic debris affecting the immediate area of the neglect or abandonment; and

(4) The avoidance or minimization of any public health risks created by the neglect or abandonment of the animals.

Punishable by imprisonment --- And I suspect this is what they are going for times 2.

I agree 100 % kerry, over the years I have had many dogs and the 3 I have now , 2 came from pounds and both are great ( 1 black lab 1 sheba enu and 1 boston terrior Who's owners where going to take to a pound - never taught him a thing just kept him in a pen cause he was CUTE). Some people should not have kids or pets.

I have to disagree with you on this 1 steve. Bad taste by the NFL to ever let him play in the league again. I am very glad he almost lost everything. 1 very sick and dumb human to do that and then lie throw his teeth and act like he didn't know what was going on on his property. They should have feed him to the same pit bulls - by nature these are vary nice animals, personally know of 2 owners and these things are very smart and dosile.
