Been kinda quiet here lately. Wondering what's going on with everyone?

Gary O - how's the car running?
Randy - you have your dyno tune scheduled?
Karl - Lumpy bout have your engine done?
Steve - picking your car up next week? Care to clue everyone else in on your plans you told me?
Dan - Got your car running right yet?
Scott - How's the issues with your 4.6, any news?
Any others have updates?

Me? Well, got the oil changed, checking for leaks, torque on bolts, Got my "race" suit and gloves for RNG. Headed to Arkansas this weekend, be back Sunday. Hopefully the day isn't too nice  Maybe a cruise on Monday, we'll say it's my b-day get together at Fast Eddies or something.

The car is running, but not exactly the way I want it. Between sporting events, I'm rebuilding my distributor and checking electrical connections. Last night I got on it just a little bit and ended up shredding my SC belt. New one is on already, but as soon as i have the rest figured out, it going back to Omer for a final tune.

It has been unusually quite lately. I'm going to call Omer next Monday and schedule a dyno tune. I'd like to have it running good if I decide to take it to Run n Gun. I'll let you know how it turns out.

After the problems earlier this year I'm just really feeling lucky for now. The car is running great and it's all shined up for when the weather breaks again. Looking forward to a mild fall season and some great drives. We're leaving for the lake in the morning to kick back and relax a bit for the weekend. If it rains Saturday there's always the 1,000 mile American Le mans series race on Speed channel all day :D.

My 58 is ready to be picked up from the body shop. Engine bay is fresh & ready for rebuilt 58 block which Danny will install probably next week. Corvette Fun Fest is taking place now thru Sat. in Effingham, IL.

Dan - you may consider letting Omer re-do your distributor.
Randy - go for it. Also - let's talk Friday re: your message.
Tim - good job.

Me - scheduled for Mastertech on Tuesday for final check-up before RNG. Plus, Pat is going to let me borrow his trailer for RNG week - Horray. More later.

About two weeks ago Lumpy said my engine was all but complete and he was going to dyno it. That's the last I heard......

My current drivetrain is still for sale for $4,000 intake to pan, damper to driveshaft yoke.

Danny & I picked up my 58 from Fred Scheldt's Body shop tonight & it's at Danny's now waiting to have the fresh 58 engine installed. :D

Dave, going to be ready by November?

Karl - you planning to install that this year?

Yeah should be. We picked it up Fri. from Fred's. It's at Danny's. He should be able to start in with gettn the fresh 58 engine in it, clean tranny & other misc. stuff this week. It would be neat if I could have the garage party the weekend before Naja's sojourn. :D BTW All new chrome goodies on the front are installed & looking GOOD! :D Pics will be posted shortly. BTW II When is Naja's sojourn? I think I'll check the under utilized/often neglected club calendar herein. :D

Hi Guys!

Sorry I have been absent. It's really hard to stay in touch now that school has started for everyone in my family, the extra cirricular activities, and working OT at Honda. I don't seem to have much time for my car anymore...but I have been slowly getting the 4.6L to humm.

My Computer just came back from The Detail Zone about a week ago (I think) but the rain here in Columbus has been, well, WET. I drove the car twice on Sunday afternoon and it goes pretty good. I think (fingers crossed) all of the issues are just about behind me. Just in time for Fall/Winter...

So, what's next? Well, seeing we still only have one income, and now my wife is going to school full time to become a Nurse, guess who is doing my body work this winter. Yep, that's right, ME. I'm going to follow in Paul's footsteps and tackle the labor instensive part of this job myself, and get it ready for someone else to shoot color in the Spring (hopefully).

So, as they say, no pictures, didn't happen:

Glad you're over the hump on the engine issues, know that had to be frustrating. Is that dust I see on the seats?  Can't let that happen, I've found driving is good therapy after work. :D

Driving also cleans the seats :D. Good work Scott, keep it up as time allows. The nice thing about having a timeless car is that it doesn't really matter when you "finish" it.

Good point Tom, and I will add, is it ever finished? :)

My car is at Fastlane until RnG. Shannon is out of town so I have to fill in at her store until close tonight. Anyone in the neighborhood of the Mills Mall stop by for a cookie.

Fall Color Cruise around Mid-Ohio

Took my first real cruise today with the OCC and we met up with the Lake 'n Snakes Cobra Club. Weather was a bit cool this morning but turned into a real nice day. Now I know what you guys were all talking about with these club cruises. A lot of fun, it's cool to see 15 roadsters in a line snaking through the rolling hills with the fall colors in full galla.

Here are some pictures...
