Can your graphics guy reduce the logo to an icon? If so, you can place that icon in the root directory of the website and have it show up in the browser bar when someone visits the site. It also saves that icon with his bookmarks.
This is a link to the info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Favicon. When you go to this link, you'll notice the little "W" logo beside their URL. I use one on our EC12 Sailboat site:http://www.ec12.org. It shows our class logo as the icon.
In a nutshell, save the icon as "favicon.ico" and your good to go
