Anyone on here? Real bummer. Hope "snake 'n' eggs" went well otherwise. Wish I could have made it. Was blessed with my first nephew yesterday, so wen't to visit him at children's downtown.:)

Not a good sign....
A friend of mine in a corvette was talking to him at a stop sign earlier in the day...He was headed to the snake and eggs...he knew I wouldn't be there..
Hope it wasn't serious

"Stuff Happens"

Man, you guys are good !! A guy can't get by with nothin !! The Silver Bullet lost power a few miles down Chesterfield road. Coasted into Mark Andy Inc. The workers there were great. Helped me push it into the shade and got me a few tools so I could look at the plugs. Finally determined I had no spark. Towed it home, put a new Accel coil on it and it fired right up. I have heard that MSD coils tend to break down in hot temperatures and it was definitely warm today. Skip, I did talk to a nice gent in a red Vette that knew you this morning. Small world. Anyway, could have been worse. Had a good morning regardless. Great company and good food !! See you all soon. :D

Mike consider moving any electronics out of your engine compartment and behind your dash or best - under you glove box. Get them out of the heat. Good to see you this morning. Glad you made out OK.

Skip - I met a guy at the Cottleville car show that know you from work.

So far, knock on wood, my MSD box hasn't been problematic. It is mounted on the firewall in the engine bay, probably in the hottest part of the engine bay. Lucky I guess. On the F5R's I would think inside the cockpit on the firewall would be just as hot. Maybe mount it towards the front of the car so the incoming air and fan can blow on it. Mike, sorry to hear you had to get a tow while we were out cruising :( Hope you had AAA and the Mrs. didn't get too hot. An incident like this is what worries me about driving long distances.

Glad it was something simple. I've had my MSD in my mustang for years, and now in LePew (knock on wood) it has performed flawlessly. Hope your tow was a short run. I broke down at Gateway Itl. and it cost $200 bucks to get me back to O'fallon. Kind of a funny story...I asked the track techs for a number to a towing company, and they told me to call 1-800-DLSUCKS. I said "Really? Like D&L towing?". Guy said yup. The owner of Cardinal Towing used to work for D&L. The outcome of the alpha number was a pure coincidence...yeeeeah, righhhhht, lol.
