Serpent Express trailer thoughts

Just got some pics from the manufacturer. The plan is to head to Florida next week to pick the trailer up.

Looks great Ken! About a month ago I ordered a 16' hard top from Larry for similar reasons. One easy to tow trailer that I can use for my Cobra or a couple of my classic motorcycles. But mine won't have as many options. Should be ready in February. So next week's Super Cruise will be the last trip for my current enclosed trailer and 8mpg. :)

That’s an awesome trailer. I wish I had sprung for a lightweight aluminum trailer. Very nice.

Spent some time talking with Tom (trailer manufacturer) today when we picked up my trailer in Ocala. Very nice guy and very knowledgeable.....he's been manufacturing trailers a long time.

I'm impressed so far, very nice trailer and seems to be very good quality. Mine is 20 feet long, and weighs 2175 empty. Although it's empty, I'll have gas mileage figures once I get home.

Well, got back yesterday from Florida...the trailer tows well so to speak, but I have two issues to deal with. When we first inspected the trailer, the wheels were really dirty. Because of that, I missed wheel damage to one of the wheels. I've emailed Larry about it and am waiting for his response. I'm temporarily keeping it at a friend's house, he took an in depth look at it today and just texted that I have a bad wheel bearing....so, I have that to deal with, also. Other than those two things, it's nice and should do the job (s)....

Ken, glad you like the trailer and how it tows. Hopefully Larry helps with your wheel bearing? Mike

I received a replacement mag wheel to replace the gouged one. I've been so busy with work I haven't been able to go look at the trailer to see if there is a bearing issue or something else that caused it to sling so much grease. Tom, the actual manufacturer/builder of the trailer said they'll send me center caps for the wheels when they become available.
