Seat Belts

I've had both. The latch in the Cobra and the cam lock in the Lotus. The cam lock is easier for me than threading all of the belts onto the single point. The only problem I've had with the cam lock is the cam sticking in the open postion.

It's your car

We use the cam type on the drag car. Makes for a quick in/out since each belt just snaps into a particular slot.

The old loop type requires that you fit all the pieces together before you secure the latch. But it looks like it did back in the day

What ever your personal preference is. If you're looking for one easier to use, go with the camlock. If you want to keep your period correct appearance, use the loop type.

Your car, your call. No one will criticize which ever you choose.

We use cam lock in all of our aircraft and I find that it is easier to buckle in with the belts already tight. In the Coupe I have to loosen the belts before I can secure the latch and then try to re-tighten.
