Traveling on the ice laden new I-64 this morning just east of the Clayton/Warson overpass, and witnessed a 96/97 vintage Mustang GT loose control in the left lane and kiss then median, spin out of control, and the regain control to only kiss the median again. He kept it moving forward and managed to not hit anyone else (good driving skills!), but I thought damn...that is a crappy way to start your morning. After I got off at the next exit, I then thought I should go back and give him a FFR DVD on building a '65 Roadster Replica! :eek:

I drove by the same spot again this morning and looked closely at the road section (was angled towards the median and curving to the right) which was not good for this fellow. His skids marks on the wall left dark green paint in about 4 places (very visible on pretty clean and fresh concrete), and I judged the distance was probably about 1/8 of a mile where he hit in about 4 different places.

Ouch.
