• For all members (past, current, and new)

THANK YOU ALL FOR HELPING TO GET THIS CLUB OFF THE STARTING LINE !!!

To begin your membership with Gateway Cobra Club please submit your vital information to our club registrar/Treasurer: Paul Proefrock

    Please include your:

Name, address, phone numbers (work, home, cell) e-mail, etc. Also, tell us about your Cobra (make, model, year, colors, engine, options, stage of build, etc.), where you bought it, any other particulars. Also include other vehicles, birthdays, your occupation & company, and any other details about you and you significant others. BTW - this info will not be posted on-line (EVER). It's just for us - to make the club better. We will eventually create a database for internal club use only.

We will begin collecting dues soon to enable the activities that we have planned for the year - so stay tuned for that.

FINALLY - get involved. Attend the meetings, schedule some cruises, and have some fun. We want to make this club fun (for the whole family). We're small (for now) but we're going to make a big noise here in St. Louis. In the end - this club will only be as good as our members participation.

Thanks for joining us - see you in the fast lane!

Chuck from Cape Girardeau, I’m super new at this. My FFR kit isn’t here yet, I’m hoping for November 1st. I’m open to any advice from the folks that have built before
Me. Have a great day.

Welcome Chuck. I get the nervous part, but it's going to be great. We're here to support you as much as you need. We have multiple people who have built these cars. We have mild to wild, so if you have any questions, just post them. We'll help you spend as much money as you want ;)

Chuck, Welcome! My kit is supposed to be completed October 14 and delivered 1-2 weeks after. Ours could possibly be on the same truck. I'm heading to the Build school on Sept 15th. We'll have to compare notes as we go.

Hey first question: am I even posting in the right area?

Second: thinking of going with the Coyote, thoughts? So do I have to run cat converters? Dumb question?

I'd ask FFR to confirm, but my understanding is you would need cat converters (they used to call them J-Pipes) if you ran the shorty headers, but this was back before FFR offered custom 4-into-1 headers for the Coyote like they do push-rod engines.
short answer: with the new Coyote headers, they are not required.
But confirm with FFR.

Chuck, for now until you get used to posting on the forum, here is fine. Explore the sub forums, you can't break anything. When Paul gets back, he can create a build sub forum for you.

Chuck, my take on your question is< do you need to use catalytic converts, not in Missouri

Sorry I mis-understood your question Chuck. Agree with Rich, Missouri does not require Cats for these cars. (doesn't matter what the engine is)

Thanks for the feed back. I’m slowly getting my plan together. I sure appreciate all of the expertise from everyone.
