Rent a Trailer!

I mentioned this at the last meeting. I am leading the parade in my hometown, Mascoutah, IL on August 5th and 6th, carrying the Base Commander as my passenger! He is a Cobra enthusiast and is downright giddy about my car. Tim suggested I start advocating for the group, and trust me, I will. I am going to ask that we get a day, runway shut down, to run the cars as fast as possible straightaway.

Here is the twist... I don't own a trailer. Would someone be willing to rent me their trailer for that weekend for a couple or three hundred bucks (please tell me this is a reasonable price, I have no idea)? It is the weekend of August 5th and 6th. I can get the trailer Friday night or Saturday morning. I will be back on Monday.

Mascoutah is a short drive, 23 miles after the Mississippi on highway 64. I would not be putting many miles on the trailer. It would sit at my parents' house for the weekend.

For anyone else interested, there is a classic car show on Sunday the 6th. All are welcome! I can get a cobra area roped off if anyone would like to attend the car show!

I got an open trailer you can use, no charge. It's at a coworkers house in Marthasville. Uhaul also has a pretty nice car trailer you can rent.

Mine is available as well, enclosed if you need it. Why not drive the car over?

I am going to drive the car over if no enclosed trailer, but I worry about rain there or back. I talked to Scott Hawley here in town about an enclosed. He will get back to me in a couple days.

LIke I said, my enclosed trailer is available. Getting 4 new tires on it tomorrow. The only reason my SE isn't available is I need to work on the lighting system before Deadwood this weekend. Let me know.
