Skip, I was on 3rd shift for a few weeks and was able to work on it during the day. It was really weird working on the car with a Bud Light at 7:00am.....................at first.

I was the only Father at the bus stop with a frosty one yelling, "I Love You Man" to my kids as the bus drove off. :cool:
 
Now that's funny. Looks great Mike. As a side note my father-in-law used to always come down to the lake after getting off 3rd shift. He was cracking beers while I was drinking coffee. Can't wait to see it! Keep the pics coming.
 
Looks great Mike! Well, you added the exhaust since I last saw it anyway :D. I'm glad to hear you sold the old engine too. Let me know when it's gone and I'll get your engine stand and picker out of your way...for a little while.

thanks Craig but Mike is 5 minutes away and he already told me that he would be glad to have them out of his way for a while.
 
Tom, he is going to pick the engine up Wednesday or Thursday, it's yours after that. No hurry, I have room.

I just thought of this - but Mike - do you think you'd be done with your build by RNG ? May be neat to take a few EXP laps. Would be a crowd pleaser for sure.
 
Mark, the way thing are going, I won't even have my shocks by RNG. I can't believe they are still on backorder. Even if I had them, I wouldn't be ready, maybe by next year.

Anyone is more than welcome to stop by anytime. Thursday my Son has baseball practice from 5:00 to 6:30 so I will be home by 7:00. The LS1 is being picked up at 8:00.

Hey Mike have u been calling F5R ??
its been awhile since we unloaded u...
i called them and it seem everytime they told me it was just about to ship, i stayed on them
just glad i got the 15 inch wheels i hear there is a long lead item on the 17 inchers...
i know the GTM is different as the roadster items are more few, and it is based on donor items too...nice donor items i should say...
just words of wisdom the squeeky wheel gets the grease......;)
and i greased them and have had all my parts for a month so i will say a couple Hail Mary's for ya...just wish work would pic up so i can pull the trigger on my tranny and engine parts.
mine is about 80 percent done minus the above items:(

Called them today and they are saying early next week for the shocks. Also asked about my other bak ordered parts and Mark said he'd check on them. 30 minutes later got an email saying a box was shipped.

Thanks for stopping by last night, it was great to hear that rumble again. Tom, I have the hoist and stand torn down and ready for you whenever you need it. Now that the LS1 and crate is gone, I have plenty of room so take your time.

Folks, I saw something that looked like a work of art last night. Mike may downplay it, but this car will be one of the best assemblies of the GTM you will see (no pressure Mike) Already looking like something you would see in Italy, the crossover exhaust looks so nice and I'm sure will have a sound......Wow. Hope we gave you some incentive to get back to work and get that car on the road.

Thanks Mike, hopefully this weekend. Your car is looking great but that's no surprise to me. I would expect only top notch work out of your garage and know that you will put out nothing less. Love the exhaust, the e-brake and the planned tunnel mods for the shifter.
