If he altered the the lamp assembly in any way restricting the reflectors I hope the dope gets gobbs of tickes, I for 1 do not like them being darkened due to being hard to see on a sunny day until you are right on top of them. He deserves what he got and keeps getting. Hope they smack the crap out of him - see picture of the lieing sack of craps car.

I don't see where it says he modified them anywhere. If you read the article, it has nothing to do with the anything being darkened. From the article:

Because the red area in the lenses is reduced in the G8 GT, there are reflectors mounted in the bumper to reflect additional light and bring the reflective requirements into spec. The officer and by extension the judge considered them illegal.
In looking at several rear pics, they are all like the one pictured in the article.

Go look at picture of black G8 with plate # 4EW-B24 with maryland plate hmmm. If this is his he deserves the tickets. I think something is missing from this guys complaint and I would be incline to side with cop and judge - they aren't picking on this guy for nothing. Tim take a look he has modified them and deserves the crap slapping hes getting

Got it. Didn't see that pic earlier. I agree, those are too dark. The article title pic is misleading
