Polar Bear Dare !

Here you go Mark.
For today's record
Nov 28th-5 AM (yes the time is right)
36 degrees when I took off from home and dark. :)

Had a nice drive into work this morning. A little cool. Leather jacket and gloves. My ears are the worst by far though. Everything else went well. I have to work for 6 hours today and then I'm off to take my girls to the range while mom shops. Megan wants to try my AR. Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving.

OK T that's awesome. Yesterday, I went on 2 quicky cruises. One before and one after THX dinner. Pretty cool wife - if you ask me. I just may go out a little today too.

But - wow - this morning 36 degrees - the 2009 leader so far - is TBull.
That's going to be tough to top.

I have to wonder how long this driving season will last.

Well my wife needs to take two classes now instead of one for her masters classes. That's going to eat into my plans as to when I can do some upgrades. Therefore I'm going to push it as long as I can safely do it. I just love driving that car.

As you know, my family was in town this weekend. Of course they wanted a ride :D I accomodated knowing I would more than qualify for the Polar Bear Dare (btw - what do we win, a blizzard at DQ?) So, I took my cousin's for a brisk ride. Here's a pic before the ride.

23 degrees, 10:30 - 11:30am this morning, cloudy. Next.

I think the prize is a pair of frozen brass balls! Pardon my French!

If all goes well for me...I plan to join in your reindeer games and have my own frozen go-cart ride (maybe next month)!

If my car starts and all is well there is no way in h e double hockey sticks that I am waiting to drive until spring ;)

OK - So Dec 7th - 23 degrees. Purple is the leader.
I was a nice day today.
It's been a week since I drove my car, and I must admit I'm getting a little antsy.
I had thought about putting my top on (car) and going out, but had other matters to attend to.

Way to go Tim - gonna be tough to beat!

Prize to be determined.

If you put your top on, you have to add 5 degrees to the outside temp :D

Yea - Actually - If I put the top on - if figured I'm disqualified - cause I've got a heater too!

But really - other the a bit of competition - I was really trying to measure the driving season.

Driving Season????????????????????????????????

That never stops right??????????? :D Besides once you add in heated seats, heated socks, long underwear, TommyK's wind scarf, etc. ad nauseum, you get the idea, how can ya not go??????????? :D Well maybe 12" snow could be a slight impediment!!!!!!;)

Took her out today

12/28/08, 41 degrees, 20 mile cruise around the block, no hat, no gloves, top off (the car), fresh detail, and plenty of WTF looks from the West County shoppers.

Left Chatham, Il March 1986 headed for Daytona Bike Week..9 above...my buddy said lets put them on the trailer and I convinced him we are going south,,,it will get warmer,,,I was rite....we got to Tallahassee and it was 32....

Got the same looks Mark. Between the WTF's and the Thumbs Up gestures along with smiles all around. Took mine out this morning and then added the lap blanket for another test run this afternoon. Now getting ready to take Ashley out and then off to the gym. Love that car.

OK. Went to work this morning and took the car. As our leader always states:
"For the record"
4:45 AM, Temp 33 F, Gloves, Jacket, Lap blanket, no top, no hat, very little hair :D

Going to be a beautiful afternoon and didn't want to miss it.

Good on ya mate!
So far though Tim has the record at 23 degrees.
That's going to beat.

Got too jealous yesterday by everyone talking about the drive.

So,

12/31

31.2* when I left
Hat, no gloves, couple jackets:o

Nice. Way to go. I got back in about 1AM last night and the temp was 20. I thought here's my chance to beat Tim, but I was talked out of it. I still want to get a picture of me driving with snow beside the road. :D That would be cool, in more ways than one. I might even frame that one for the office.
