If you didn't get out today and enjoy the great weather like Mark and I did, please, sell your Cobra and get a 'Vette - it has a top, heat, and can be driven anytime. Or, maybe a minivan is better suited for ya  :D Met Mark in the valley for lunch, he didn't want to go, but after I made fun of him, he came on down. Hope you got out today.

Yep - it was great.

The weirdest thing happened on the way home.
I decided to take it out Hwy. 100 one last time.
Spun back at Fox Creek for a high speed run back.
Running about 65, clear traffic, and punched it.
Saw a pretty big puff of smoke out of my rear view.
I thought - wow what was all of that.
Worried something may be wrong.
So, I slowed back to 65 and punched it again.
Saw the puff of smoke as the car goes sideways.
Tires spinning.
Tried it a couple of more times.
Everytime I punch it - the tires start smoking.
I'm going to have to get this back into the shop - again.:D

You guys mised it.

Great therapy wasn't it Mark? You should have seen it when you started it up at the restaurant. An older couple, ok real old, you know about Dave and Snakes age :), parked next to you. When you started it up, some exhaust smoke rolled up their car and the lady just looked at the car and the noise I think startled her :D Was funny from my point of view :D

SOME of us have to work for a living!! You know, go to work when it's dark and come home in the dark. I'm jealous!! I'm off two weeks during the holiday season so everybody ask Santa for some nice weather. I really had the fever today! Went on line and looked at engines instead.:(

Just be careful in cold temps.

Tire compounds that work well in the summertime will get very greasy when cold and break traction much more readily.

And BTW.....I hate you!!! :mad::mad::mad:

Found that out today Kerry. Took a friend for a ride from work and got a little squirrely from a dead stop. May have had something to do with the white smoke behind the car and the 4500 RPM in 1st gear too. :D

Dave you are correct in the wise thingy...I just pray that these young pups have the opportunity to get where we are...if they keep doing what they are doing(smoking tires, etc)they will get there....those things are what keeps me "young"..that and my younger wife(not my daughter that MikeW refers to).

I did at least start mine up yesterday in the trailer and sat in it going vrrrooom...vrrooom.

I agree. I have had a couple of cars sideways at 100MPH and managed to survive both times. Otherwise none of you would have had the pleasure of knowing me, and my children would never have been born.

We can preach till we are blue-in-the-face, but you youngsters will be just as stupid as we were. I pray you have the same angels watching over you.

Uh OK, but I thought I was "flying" pretty fast through Harrison, Ark. when Steve & I were showing off for some teenage Kids we gave rides to. :D

Drove mine to work thursday. Felt great!!!!!!!! I have a leather bomber cap that keep the head toasty. Opened it up a little!!!!!! I will save the spinning for the track, since the 3 times i have been on the track i have spun.
