I purchased a company in 1994 that had been in business since 1935.
We manufacture blueprint specific wood pallets for transport of finished products such as truck engines, transmissions. Our product is used for export by our customers. Any wood products leaving or coming into the country must be heat treated(sterilized) to rid them of any insects/pests that could infect forests in other countries. The pine nemitoid, ash borer and chinese betal are just some of the concerns in todays market. We are one of the only companies in Southern Illinois that offers this heating service.
I am basically retired but still keep my hand in the business. My son-in-law and daughter are taking over. Matt is a gear head like most of us but has an affliction to Bow Tie stuff. I don't hold it against him however.
