No Longer Wanted, I have it - ATV 4x4

I am a tech in a shop in effingham. Let me know what you are looking for or if you need any help looking at one, let me know.

Looking at Honda's. What are your thoughts on the yamaha? Polaris?

Went and looked at ATV's. Looked at a Yamaha Grizzly, Big Bear and a Honda Rancher AT. I think I've decided on the Honda. I'm not a big fan of belt driven anything (Yamaha's use this) and the Honda has been a good reliable ATV for my Brother (8 years) my Dad (3 years on current one) and Uncle (4 years). I've gotten them to $6,479.

Randy, hope you log back on, opinions?

Tim, I have a Honda Rancher 2005 works great its my fourth Honda ATV. Don't know where you have looked but this place has the best prices around www.abernathycycles.com/ check them out maybe you can get a dealer to match their price.

Rick:)

Tim, looks good, is that the 420 Rancher. If so your going to love it. I've got the 350 and can't believe the power Good buy.

Rick:)

P.S. You need a snow plow now

Rick, got the winch and snow plow package with it. They didn't have the parts, so I saved $250 and told them I would install it myself. They said parts would be in sometime next week :-) Yes, it's the Rancher AT with power steering, automatic, fuel injection and IRS.

Confidence

Tim
Depends on your confidence in the wheel bearings (at speed and loaded) and the speed rating of the tires. You won't be overloading it, unless you really get a BIG deer :D

I've never been a fan of the small tires but it says it has the capacity, you might have to add brakes :D:D.
Is there enough width between the fenders to pull it on or will you have to drive over them?

RE: Abernathy in Union City, Tn
They are great people to deal with...bought my Ultra Classic from them and and am working on a trade on a trike right now.
Anyone need a low mileage 2008 Ultra Classice loaded to the gills give me a shout.

Sorry!!!! I droped the ball but all the major mfg are good products. The truth is that you are spoiled for choices, each one has a little diffrent personality. The main problems come from lack of maintance or sitting and that is where the efi really helps. The gas can plug a carb as quick as 3 weeks. I am sure you will be happy with the 4 wheeler. If you ever need recomendations on places to ride let me know. We go to colorado every year and rode west vIrginia this spring. We also have some wooded acrage in so ill .

Any potential problems with storing this in my enclosed trailer with the vent open? Wondering with the 100+ temps if that will hurt anything. I'm finding it very hard to get out and ride with the temps like they are, although, I didn't get out and ride when it was much cooler either. Still starts right up, just need to ride it more.

?

I wouldn't think it would be much different than keeping it a garage. Temp might be a little higher, but not that much.

With the vents open, it would help temperature and I doubt fumes would be an issue. You might consider a full tank of gas with StaBil in it, that way the tank won't condense and have a place to build fumes.

Paul

The StaBill should help with gas evaporation in this heat. Other wise no issues.
And is toooooooo f'n hot to drive the car as well. :(
