I broke down and made a new purchase! Will break it in when Nancy and I host her dance group's annual picnic Saturday!! :cool:

Gary, I'm hoping you see this message...I need some guidance from the Margarita Master!

Breaking in the my margarita machine it seems the recipe that comes with the machine is lacking? Curious what you add or do different from their recipe when you make them? I've tried both silver and gold tequila and even added more tequila and triple sec than their recipe calls for but it still doesn't taste quite right? The margarita's you make are very similar to the restaurants so there must be something I need to do different?? It may be as simple as much more tequila than the machine recipe calls for? :rolleyes:
 
Mike, I go by the recipe on the mixing jar, except I don't use the lime juice, I use a little more orange juice and mix instead. I prefer Sauza brand tequila, don't notice much difference in Gold vs Silver. Also like Master Of Mixes brand mix over Jose Cuervo but that's just me. Don't forget the little dash of Blue Curacao on top changes the flavor and adds some kick.
 
Thank you Gary! I appreciate the information. We have friends from college coming over this weekend so I should get plenty of practice!! Want to be ready for SuperCruise. ;)
 
Tim, I thought your new idea was an outdoor theatre set up for a movie night? That would make a good Mauldin purchase! ;) And besides, you'd have more time to fill those pitchers if you weren't busy tuning your air guitar? :cool:
