Many have requested we revert to the old lighter theme, finding the dark theme difficult to use or read. Others have said they like the dark theme for reading at night. Trying to appease everyone, we've added a new Light theme and made it the default setting - for new visitors

For existing members and visitors, the Forum remembers your preferences. You may change between light or dark by scrolling down to the bottom left footer bar where you will see a dropdown box that says:
  • GCC-Dark
  • GCC-Light

Select your preference and the screen will change to reflect that. When the visit the forum the next time, it will remember your last setting an open in the appropriate color. Switch back and forth as much as you like. ;)

The light theme was derived from the dark one and there may still be some formatting glitches. If you run into an issue or something appears incorrect, let me know

We are now working on the front page section of the forum to provide a better User Interface there. You may notice two different appearances, depending on how you get there, but they will be consolidated shortly.

Thanks, Paul. I'll try this for awhile, I think it's easier on my eyes

OK, found a glitch. On the light theme, the 'new post' button is gone. :(

Pretty much all of the options that you can see in the dark theme that is currently in white, is also white in the light theme, so it "disappears". If you hover over the area, it is there....just can't see it.

. . . found a glitch. On the light theme, the 'new post' button is gone.

Give me some directions as to where this button is you're referring to. On my machines, it is a big red button, right at the top of the page, same as the black

On the dark theme, 'new posts' is under the 'home' button'.

How 'bout it now, Rich - I made it go away in the dark theme ;)

No, really it's still there. In both themes, we've converted to a pull-down type menu. If you click on the arrow beside "Forum", the menu drops down and the "New Posts" is then displayed.

The exposed "sub-bar menu" isn't compatible with the new frontend so we took it off the Light page and added the dropdowns. Just forgot to take it off the dark page. Thanks for finding that.

Paul, see pic....the arrows/buttons for the last post function go invisible with the light themeForumIssue.jpg

Paul, this is Tim on Linda's login the moniker "Coolest Wives Club" bleeds over in to the posting box. Have Cindy login so you can see.

You need to clear your cache. Hold down the shift key and hit refresh arrow.

Browsers will keep images in a cache to help speed up the loading of a page. Periodically that cache gets dumped and reloaded but to see the latest information, you should force the refresh
