I know we have a few guys building cars. Wondering if we can get an update, some pics maybe of your build? If not, I'll just come by myself to take pics :D

I'm building my 3rd, and last Mrk III. Like all before, its at a slow pace.

Tim I have talked to Mark about posting pic and all my pics are way to big so if you want to come by for a look and pics, lets get together maybe you can give me some ideas of how to post what I have or things to do to the car I live in Florissant right off 270 and Elizabeth. If nothing else we can have a beer. Give me a ring 314-852-3865. I've talked to Mark P. about coming by but have never got together.

Ok, I have nothing to do this weekend, so I will call you Sunday. Wife is going to a baby shower, so shouldn't be a problem. Mark, want to go with me?

Pics

My coupe is taken apart for winter projects. Here is the list.

1. Body work and Paint....maybe
2. Modification to drivers door requires fiberglass work
3. New Dart Pro 1 heads
4. Modification to exhaust
5. Change from manual brakes to Hydroboost

Here are the pics which are easy with photobucket:

I am still out here working on the last Hurricane from when it was headquartered in Lee's Summit. I'm sorry I don't have any recent pictures and I haven't really worked on it since late October. But I can say I am close to starting the wiring. Still need to wrap up a few things with the brakes, and the inner fender liners. I suspect that finishing in 2011 is a longshot. But that is okay...the fun goes on.

Tom McGrath

Tom McGrath recently took delivery on a new MK IV. You should have contact info for him in your club stuff. I don't think he's on the forum much

Headed to Barrett Jackson, will take a trip down to Levy Racing a get a set of wheels to go with the Kumho Ecsta XS 255/315 that are in the basement.
Still undecided on paint, quick jacks.hidden trunk hinges, ventilation.

Keith

Ok, will do. Keith, be by your place around 10am, then on up to North County after that.

Me Mark?
YES!!! I'd like to go! What time? and how late? (we're going to the out-laws for dinner) :D

I was out @ Rich's today and talked to him for quite a while. His build is looking GREAT!
This is his 3rd build! and it sounds like it's going to be a keeper: power ABS brakes, power steering, IRS, knock-offs, and a few more HPs with the new SBF.

I hope he approves of me posting these:

Tim, I know you probably meant the other Mark, but I'd SURE like to ride along.
Call my cell, PLEASE!

wasn't this a near complete car and Rick took apart and is redoing, I think it came out of Texas? Sat next to him at the picnic. Trying to keep everyone straight in my mind.
Looks good, wish my garage was that clean, you'll get to see how small an area that one can be built in when Tim post some pics of mine.

Mark , you are welcome any time,I am 5 minutes from Tim so just give me a buzz.

Mark P and I will be headed out from my house at 9:45. My latest member list is from 11/09, can't get a hold of Mark E, so if anyone has a more recent one, e-mail it to me. Rick, give me a call, need your address.

Mark P and I made a couple of visits yesterday to Keith (Itzdapig) and Rick (33ratride). Keith is building a new car and Rick is finishing a car started by a crazy guy in Texas that had some ideas about how the exhaust was done. Rick, you still have the link to that thread on FFCars?

Anyway, below are pics of their cars and what they've done. I offered up the club's help if they need/want it when the time come's to put the body on. Keith and Rick and on any particulars I may have left out/forgotten.

Keith's Engine bay. Shows a 302, power brakes and power steering.

This pic shows a "puke" tank that Keith custom fabricated, but still has to finish in it's approximate mounting location

Rick's car has quite a history to it, I hope he has pics of what the car looked like when he got it and the link to the story on FFCars.

This pic shows Rick's 302 and a custom air box the previous owner made. Dan, don't you have something like this?

Here's the trunk drop box he installed

Drop box with the doors closed (Rick - I think Dan did this and covered the doors in a vinyl that matched his carpet)

A pic showing how Rick stores the body, yes, his ceilings are high enough for a lift  :D

Really enjoyed visiting with you guys yesterday. Found out Keith is a big mountain biker using local trails and an ex motorcycle racer (road racing). Rick has a great garage for re-building his car, a boater and hunter. I think Keith will be joining us on the track soon and Rick hopes to join us on the cruises later this year.

I need to get a new member list to get Charley's info, and maybe make a visit to him soon. Once the weather warms up, I think visits with completed cars will need to be done to provide even more motivation :D

Tim It was great to see Mark and yourself yesterday. I finished the insulation in the ceiling. You gave me some ideas on the turn signals and radio that what I like about thie group is gathering of ideas on the different projects. I still need to know how to post a new build tread. I did post some pics to photobucket after you guys left, now I just have to transfer them to our web. The guy I got the car from goes by radtexas27 on ffcars I will look for his posts.http://www.ffcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=184826
Don't know if this works but thats a link to exhaust .
Thanks for the visit
Rick

You can set me one up as well, we will see if I can figure out how to use it, I am sure its more difficult than building a car!

I am using the same turn signal module as Tim. Sourced mine thru Speedway Motors, was cheaper and received next day if ordered before 3 pm. Using 2 seperate push button switches, touch once for 5 second flash, push for 2 seconds get 10 flashes, push again shuts them off, hold both at the same time turns on flashers.

Steering and brakes are hydroboost assisted, similar to power only different. :)

Will be looking for some volunteers to set body on in a couple weeks.
