New Autocross Area

Never had my very own area on a forum before. Hope it does not stay too lonely in here.

I will try to stop cluttering the other areas with my dribble.

Mike, you're not cluttering. That's what the club is about. These amazing cars. You push yours to a limit. I think Marks just giving up an area so the site is organized and that people who want to search for Autocross, have all the stuff in one area. I especially liked your discussion with Tim on braking, both the math and applied science. Very cool. Keep it up. Just because we can't always show up, doesn't mean we're not supporting and interested. ;)
 
I have a place in mind but would need to be small to keep from attracting unwanted attention. Probably 4-5 people and a few cars max.

If someone else has a place where we could turn it into a party and get away with it then great.

I can do it tomorrow if the weather cooperates.

Would be nice if we could have a few different cars and brake system types so we could get a good baseline. We really also need to weigh your car Mike.
 
We weighed it last year. It was around 2430 lbs empty. I lost 40 lbs with the aluminum heads so it is just under 2400 now.

More cars is great if we can find a place for a major event. If we knew someone out in the country there would only be 1 car moving at a time so no big traffic jam on the street.
