Knowing Mark and my mechanical and financial abilities I'd like to get an opinion on what you guys think. After all the looking and discussing not to mention some certain someones car problems should I go new or classic? No holding back. I want your honest opinion.

Some new cars I'd consider:
Shelby Hertz paint job has to be redone hate gold!
Mustang Gt fully upgraded with supercharger and body kit
Roush Blackjack with cams
Roush Stage 3 with cams

Classics: You guys know what I like.

Thanks guys your feedback is very much appreciated....because Mark is driving me insane.:D

How about the Rousch P-51a. Looks perfect to me as it and makes 510HP

Honestly...I would go new. The resto-mod's, unless done right, are going to be continuous work. Parts will not be hard to find, but you won't be going to the local store to get the. Year One and several other Mustang specialty companies have made almost every part for the old 'stang, but again, at a cost.

Stay away from the Saleen modified Mustangs. They just went under, and another company bought the rights to their parts, but will not be providing any scheduled warranty work.

The Rousch looks sick! Why not just find a "slightly used" GT500 that was offically rolled out of the Shelby Plant in Lost Wages. The prices have really dropped on some low mileage used ones. Heck, I even saw one at the Dean Hyundai dealership on Manchester road recently. Stock form, 5.4L Supercharged Modular Motor with 500 HP, and it's the real deal.

Automatic

Don't forget I can't drive a manual...therefore no gt500. I want something with power and the sound to match.:D

my favorite and one that slipped away because of the gas cringe of '77 i could of bought it for 2000.00 and didn't a '69 boss 429 ....thats why my favorite # is 69 well could be others like jimi hendrix dying that year, Janis too i believe... but always the biggest and baddest
stang ever was the 69 boss that engine should still be built by Ford for the new models.. then you would have a bad mo-jo with a good stout tranny and rear-end....... Me i would go black, or deep green............

My advice would be resto-mod. You get all the class of the old look, but with new technology under the hood. Fuel injection is much more forgiving after a long winter than a tempramental carberator.

Thanks Guys

Appreciate your feedback. Saw a Mustang GT this weekend black with silver stripes, supercharger, Cervini body kit,the works. This would have been at the top of my new picks. Thought it would speak to me as they say but it didn't. Realized there is nothing like this:

I'll just have to wait till I'm 60 to afford the car:(

Link - doesn't get to a specific car - BUT - if it's the Green Mopar - do I really have to say it?

Well, since the un-obtainable beast can't be found.... Just tryin to give some options :D

I don't think that the beast can't be found. I believe its that it coan't be found within the price range that they are willing to pay. Of course she could get her own cobra with an automatic and they could have a big block showdown and all for a cost less that some of these other cars. Just a thought. :D

One of my favorits is the new shelby GT (not the 500). You can get them in an automatic and they look great. Actually I think they will end up being more valuable than the GT500. I know 5 people who own GT500's, but not one with the Shelby GT's.

Well Said

I'm down with that. Unless all of you wonderful, sweet, good looking, manly men want to build me an Eleanor:D:D:D
