• For all members (past, current, and new)

THANK YOU ALL FOR HELPING TO GET THIS CLUB OFF THE STARTING LINE !!!

To begin your membership with Gateway Cobra Club please submit your vital information to our club registrar/Treasurer: Paul Proefrock

    Please include your:

Name, address, phone numbers (work, home, cell) e-mail, etc. Also, tell us about your Cobra (make, model, year, colors, engine, options, stage of build, etc.), where you bought it, any other particulars. Also include other vehicles, birthdays, your occupation & company, and any other details about you and you significant others. BTW - this info will not be posted on-line (EVER). It's just for us - to make the club better. We will eventually create a database for internal club use only.

We will begin collecting dues soon to enable the activities that we have planned for the year - so stay tuned for that.

FINALLY - get involved. Attend the meetings, schedule some cruises, and have some fun. We want to make this club fun (for the whole family). We're small (for now) but we're going to make a big noise here in St. Louis. In the end - this club will only be as good as our members participation.

Thanks for joining us - see you in the fast lane!

Danny knows someone who is interested in joining our club who owns a mustang that I think
is a "Cobra." He wants to know if he is welcome to join. Weigh in here guys. What's UR opinion? Pros & Cons? Geez & Ogie? What do U guys think?

Hear Hear Ogie...

OddBall - tell Danny that his friend is welcome...and when people ask why he is driving a Mustang "Cobra" in the Gateway Cobra Club, his response should be, and I quote:

"When I total this Mustang Cobra...I am going to buy it back from the insurance company, after it is totaled out by them...and then use it as a donor for my Factory Five Mk 3.1 Roadster that I plan to build..."

By the time he's done explaining all of that, most people will forget what it is they asked...

If you think that is funny, many a F5 projects have been started and finished this way - just check the forum!

Guess he knows that if there are parts that we can use we just take them off at the meeting :D

Man oh Man........................

U guys are brutal!!!!!!! BTW I was thinkn of tradn my Beast in on a Mustang w/a Cobra badge will I have 2 turn in my membership card?:D:D:D

We could help him get started with his build. When he brings his stang to the meeting we could dismantle it in the parking lot for him, then crate it up and mail it to his home - as long as he pays his club dues.:D

You got a membership card? All I got was a user-id to log into this forum which I can't seem to stay off from...

BTW - FORD Does not sell a "Cobra" version of the 'stang anymore...you'd have to settle for a used one or step up to a Shelby GT 500.

Ya know what....................

come 2 think of it I never did get a membership card either. Musta got lost in the mail along with an official certificate of authenticity authenticating me as genuine Cobra replica Beast owner! Imagine that. how do I prove myself? Maybe I need to grow a pair.:D:D:D BTW If that poor guy was entertaining any thoughts of gettn a beast to go with his moostang, I guess he won't be joining us in the OK corral.

Man Guys....................................

I didn't realize there was an "anti Mustang" sentiment that ran so deeply. & I tought the anti
trailering sentiment was bullish but this may have that topped. Oh well. I guess us trailer queen, Chebby lovin, Mustang toleratin idiots will just have 2 endure the ridicule!:D

Don't Get Me Wrong ...

I like the new style Mustangs. My wife even wants one. But the Shelby GT500KR is a rip. Your paying for a stock GT with the GT500 running gear - then ship to Shelby to strip all of that off and add the Shelby running gear and stickers/badges. You'll gain up to 200hp totaling up to 700hp and pay upwards of 120K for the privledge - in the hopes that someday maybe 30 years from now it will be worth more - that is if you don't drive it, and keep all of your paperwork. It's a rip. A better solution - buy a bone stock GT at Sunset Ford, then buy every single one of the parts that Shelby installs (which they sell right there) have it installed right there (even retains the factory & parts warranty) and pay half the price. Good old CS - same song - new verse - still pulling the wool over gear heads in a new century.

If you like that...you can still buy a Shelby Autos CSX 4000 continuation series - authentic 427 Shelby Cobra...prices are not listed!
