Both the ZR1 and the new Viper are guesstimated to be in the 10.9 - 11.1 sec 1/4 range, right there with the Lambo and Mclaren, but also at a cost way above $60k. Mustang, best bang for the buck.....period.
 
I agree. IMHO The only problem with them is when you pull into a parking lot there are 27 other Mustangs there with you. And to the untrained eye they are all the same.

Yep, part of the reason I built a Daytona. I still have never seen another one on the road.
 
At the 1/4 mile mark - most of those cars are just getting into their powerband. Even the Jaguar would shine on a longer race. The Jags are electronically speed limited to 155MPH on this side of the pond. We can easily relate to the 1/4 mile test (us dumb Amerikans), but most of those cars that are popular in Europe regularly cruise past the 150MPH mark. The C63 AMG will hang with a Ferrari (also noticeably absent from the test). Also no Aston Martin.
