Motorvault has posted that early registration invites have gone out and the dates have been set. I know there were several interested in attending this years event, please indicate your interest in the poll above.
When: 7/11 - 7/12
Where: Putnam Park, Greencastle, IN

More info will be posted here as people get registered and closer to the event.

For those of you that have participated in this event before, you should have received an email for Early Bird Registration (-$20 for single day, -$50 for weekend). Open registration starts 2/27. Only me and Steven have registered to date. Inviting MACC as well by the way, so, we should have a good group

I think I'm the only GCC member going, so it will be great to have company.

I’ve been wanting to go to Putnam, but unfortunately, I’ll be in Chicago for a baseball tournament.

Hopefully the forecast changes by then.

Wet track is OK, As long as no standing water or its raining.

I didnt drop wheel, rain picked up and i just came over creast on power in 3rd, rear got light, hoosiers took a smoke break, was lucky to catch it, just my dumb ass mistake.

Steven made a few laps after the rain cleared.

I had a great weekend achieving all my goals I set for myself prior to the event on the first session after the rain which was:
- Finish the session
- Run the entire session to see how water and oil temps reacted
- Run a 1:30 lap.
I ended up running a best of 1:27 which, was a personal best in this car. I'm so glad I went and the rain cleared out in the afternoon as I was really able to push the car and find it and my limit. We all did run in the rain, but, I couldn't keep my car on the track, so, I learned that the Mickey Thompson Tires are NOT rain tires at all. I left probably 2 seconds on the table, but, those will come with more familiarity and better tires. I've lost a step, but, still a respectable time. Best time I made in the old Cobra was a 1:26 lap on street and 1:24 I think on Slicks. Best time in the Miata on street tires was 1:28.

Wayne and Tom did great with Tom running a best lap of 1:25 in his Shelby Spec Cobra with bias ply Hoosier slicks and Wayne ran a best of 1:28

What a amazing track day spent with great friends, we couldn't have asked for more. The first two rain sessions were great, was good for me to learn new track. Once it cleared up, we all was able to really enjoy the track. I will be back for sure.

I am trying to plan a spring event at Hedge Hollow, you guys would love the track, its a fast challenging track with corners you can really push out of your confront zone with out worrying about concrete walls. Or if you just want to hang out in the snake pit and do parade laps, you can do what you want. Trying to plan event for early spring. I think a few guys from North woods Shelby Club will make it. Hopefully we can make this happen and get the two clubs together, from kc its 45mins south
