Selected this over the 10/10th Club (close in dates) because of the smaller run groups (limited to 20/run group).

I spoke to Brian Henry of MotorVault host for this Putnam trackday event over the weekend and discussed GCC potential to participate in the late July event and future annual trackdays. As a result, Brian has kindly offered GCC members a trackday discount when we sign up.

$25 discount - GCC25 ($325 original cost per day or single day, so Saturday or Sunday)
$50 discount - GCC50 ($475 original cost both days or entire weekend)

MotorVault trackday at Putnam includes:
20 car max per group (results in limited traffic)
5 sessions of 25mins (maximize time on track)
Free Lunch and Water

Instructors (including a Pro Driver on site) and 2 Classroom sessions will be provided for all Novice/Green Group drivers. Lead-Follow exercise will be conducted for Novice/Green Group single roll bar cobras.

MotorVault is Indiana's only authorized Backdraft Racing dealer so all cobra replica manufacturers are welcome to the track event. Brian's only request is that the discount be available to members who have paid their club dues. Hope to see a strong GCC showing at this and future events.
 
Just for reference, Putnam Park Road Course is around 3-4 hrs drive depending on where you live. It's perfect for a single trackday or if you'd like to spend the weekend there. I plan to drive that morning, spend the day at the track, and head back the same day.
 
If you stay for the second day, I can almost guarantee by the 2nd session you'll pretty much have the track to yourself. I always ran Sundays because of this. Thanks for getting this setup Steven. 👍
 
Started registering, but, for Saturday it says "Cobras Only". Soooo, I sent a message to Brian to see if my Miata will be allowed. Pending response.

UPDATE: I can run with the group, but, don't get the discount. Penalty for driving a Miata and showing up the Cobra's I suppose.

Anyone else besides Steven and I attending?

Just completed registration. Guys, great opportunity to get on a great track and lots of track time. At the moment, there are only (5) cars (including me) registered for only Saturday and an additional (8) for the weekend. Sooo, as of now, there would only be (13) cars on track (limit for this event is 20) so, you will get PLENTY of track time and not have anyone around you if you don't want. Saturday is Cobra's only, so, bring 'em out!!!
 
Well, I'll be there by myself unless there are others that want to register. I'm going Friday night, and will be back Saturday evening after running the day. I'm curious what my lap times will be compared to the Cobra.
 
Just learned today that only 35 cars are registered. 5 sessions with 4 of them being 30 minutes 😱😱😱. That really allows a rythym driver like me to get settled in. And allows sessions to be skipped. I'm really not sure if I have enough tire for this full event. They are still taking registrations...🤔🤔🤔
 
Went through my tech inspection tonight and found a small nail in my tire. Gonna try and get it repaired in the morning, otherwise, maybe new tires if they have them 🙄. Otherwise I'll have to cancel 😱

That's a lot of track time (y) Hopefully you get your tire fixed, personally I'd be hesitant to run a patched tire during a trackday
 
They plugged and patched it. Never knew you could do both. Rich ran with a plug for a while. I'm with you Steven, but, wasn't gonna waste $375 waiting on tires. Got new shoes coming next week, install Friday. 👍😁
