All, I lost my best friend and Mother this morning at 12:12am. Born in the big woods of Hunter, AR in 1938, she lived to see her three children go through college, get married, and have four beautiful grandchildren. She was someone to talk to and listen when no one else would. And, although she couldn't physically help me in the end, it was those days she listened that helped me most. I will dearly miss her and our conversations. We haven't made funeral arrangements yet, but she wanted to be cremated as she always remembered, "Ashes to ashes, and dust to dust". We will have a graveside service in Hunter, Ar 1/24 or 1/25. In lieu of flowers, I would simply ask that you give to the Juvenile Diabetes Association or some other Diabetic charity as ultimately, this is what took Mom. Will be off the forum this week, later. :(

Tim and family - our sincerest condolences to you. I'm glad she had such a good son and family to help look after her recently. Let us know if there is anything we can do to help out.

Tim,
So very sorry to hear this news. I know that she had a good son in you and that you were always there for her by the number of times you mentioned that you had been to see her or would be going to see her.

So very sad Tim. I'm sure she was very proud of you. You're a good son. I know that she had suffered for quite some time, and now finally has some peace. Condolences to you, Linda and your boys.

My sincere condolences to you & your family Tim. The memories you have of the times you spent with your Mother will comfort you under these trying circumstances. Let me know if there is anything I can do for you. Your Friend David.

You and you family will be in my prayers.

I lost my Mom 22 years ago and not a day goes by that I don't think of her.

Words of wisdom for all of you that still have your parents: take the time to see them..I know we all have our own lives and families to tend to, but take the time!!! I can't count the times that I now think about when I was within a couple of miles or even blocks that I didn't stop to just say hello and I love you.

Tim,

I'm terribly sorry to hear about your mother's passing. You've talked about her often. If you or your family need anything, just let us know. You and your family will be our prayers. I find it helps in these toughest of times to remember all the good things, just like you said at the beginning. That's the woman you'll carry forward. She has a good son.

Thanks everyone for the kind thoughts and words. Received the flowers last week before I left from the club, THANKS! As many of you know, Mom had Diabetes and many other issues prior to her death. She had suffered far too long, and I take comfort in knowing that she is suffering no more. It has been hard this week, but keeping busy, being with my sister, brother and dad this weekend helped. I think the toughest part is now not having that routine of going to visit her. I have plenty to do on the car, so I plan to get busy on that right away. Again, thanks for your thoughts and prayers, I find it comforting to know I have friends like you. :)
