Missed a good one - Rt 66/Crestwood

Missed a good cruise/car show Saturday. I only learned of it by chance. Watson Road from Crestwood Mall, west to Sunset Hills. Collection of Cobras - GT40's and GTO's at Ray Bauman's shop.

Bob Kuban played 6-8 in the mall parking lot. I heard it was advertised in some of the local and south county rags - but I never did see an advertisement.

I am amazed at the attention a Cobra will draw when you pull into a car show. Everything just kind of comes to a stand still as you drive by. Kind of an eerie feeling.

I actually drove by a couple of times. It was fun to see so many different cars just cruising down Watson. I think this was their first year and it seemed pretty well organized and successful. Bauman's car in the Gulf Oil color scheme is my inspiration. But I only saw 1 Cobra there, very early in the morning.

I heard about this through a friend of mind who does marketing for Schaeffer Auto Body. Wanted to go and bring the car, but I'm not quite sorted out yet. Maybe we can go in force next year instead of the McNair show.

Did you show your car, Paul?? And if so, any hardware?

I didn't show, I just cruised down there to see what was going on. Walked thru the show as it was tearing down, then drove over to Ray's to see some friends there
