This month's car belongs to Mike and Carol Shepard. Mike completed his build recently, September of '09 I think, and has been cruising Missouri roads and has tracked the car at Putnam last month. His car is an MKII Factory Five painted Leman's Blue by none other than Murrill Feldman in Washington, MO. Mike built the kit entirely himself and has found driving it is just as enjoyable as building the car. Under the hood is a Ford Racing 302 c.i. 340Hp crate engine with aluminum heads, Edelbrock Carb, Edelbrock intake and Hedder shorty headers. Bringing this beast to life is a combination of MSD and Mallory ignition parts. Motivating the car down the road is a Tremec five speed, an 8.8 rearend out of a Turbo T-bird with 3.73 rear gears. Coil over shocks, disc brakes all around and 15" BF Goodrich tires keep it firmly planted on the pavement.
