Mark needs to shut up about his use of steroids. The more he says about it & his lame excuses & explanations of how it did not affect his ability to achieve his success is sickening. You're full of it Mark. We know why you're saying things NOW. It's serves your best interest to do so. It has nothing to do with coming clean because of guilt. Puleeeeeeeeeze. BTW Local media shut up too. There are other stories out there. Channel 5 especially. Cover something else which is newsworthy please.
 
Dave: does all this mean I can tell the officer I am sorry for driving 95mph on Mark McGuire highway(I-70 thru town)because I was on dope? It did not affect my ability to slam into 5th gear.
 
Once again, I say MLB should allow one player on steroids. Let one guy in the line up juice up as much as he wants. Anyone that says they weren't glued to the screen with Mac and Sosa are lying. They put people in the seats. Period. So, make it fair, like the JFL and the fat kid with the stripe on his helmet. Break the rules for one player.

The game would be more fun.
 
My thoughts are, they Banned Pete Rose, who never cheated at the game. To me Steroids are cheating, and they simply look the other way.

I would rather have Pete Rose in baseball than McGuire.

Got to hand it to Jack Clark he ripped him a new one which I for one think hes got any and all coming. Only time in st louis that mark mcguire was a nice guy was when he was during a interveiw or on tv. He should be stripped of any and all awards - STREET SIGNS - and any kind of records. Some of you may remember jack clark top fuel taco bell sponsored dragster also - saw him at races and always signing stuff and shaking hands - did'nt act like he was to proud.

1 must remember our young people look up to these guys as hero's - what message is that sending them.

Young People

My nephew is a sports junkie at the age of 8. He plays select baseball, loves hockey, and basketball. Seems all we've done lately is tell him his heroes made some really stupid choices and that this is not the way to win a game. I wish I could make a bazillion dollars to lie, cheat our young, do drugs, drink and drive, and disappoint all the fans that so faithfully stood behind these athletes. I feel sorry for their mothers hearts they have broken.
 
Good point BBG. This is OT, goes in another thread, but I heard Tiger checked into a clinic in MS for being a sexaholic!!!!! Uh Oh! Man oh man that place can't be hurtin for business. :D:eek::p;)
