MACC Autocross July 23 & 24

I think the car show is in Overland Park, that's the bigger event. Do we want to just do Saturday, or are some people doing Sat and Sun? I'll have my car ready for this event.

Not sure where you're seeing that, but, see screen cap below. Also, understand that we and MACC are participants in a larger event being ran by others. There is a limit of 50 cars per day, so, probably need to gather up and figure this out.

Thats not what came up on the link that i got. Instructions show no mention of an autocross

Think I'll sign up for both days.

Ok, I talked to Wayne and have been talking to Keith. Things to consider below:
- The event is NOT being ran by MACC
- The Autocross will be limited to 50 cars both days
- Participants and organizers will be used as corner workers as usual
- The event is from 8am until 2pm both days
- Be aware this is late July, so, good chance it will be hot
- Shelby American/ Ford will have their hauler there for free ride alongs after the Autocross reach day.
- There is a car show Friday night if you want to attend.

This is all I know at the moment. This may or may not be the event for you, up to you, it is not a club event.

What's the consensus from others interested in attending?
I'm thinking I'll drive in Friday afternoon, Friday car show & dinner and Auto-x Saturday. (Isn't that what we did before?)
Is MACC going to participate Friday / Saturday / both?

Who else is interested and what is your plan?

Mark, several MACC members are participating and helping with the event and will be there both days. I plan to be there both days as well....

I plan on taking Friday off and possibly attend the car show. Autocross sat and Sunday. May leave a little early on Sunday but we'll see. Thats late July so may need to worry about too.much sun and heat.

Hello Everyone! Some info about the Autocross.

1. The autocross will be hosted and run by the MID AMERICA COBRA CLUB and the MUSTANG CLUB of GREATER KANSAS CITY. It is a joint hosted event as part of the MCA (Mustang Club of America ) National Car Show in Overland Park Kansas.
2. MCA and the MCGKC have paid for the venue - which is the same you all have come out to over the years.
3. The format will be a long - fast track for the day.
4. It will be hot - so yes bring plenty of ice, water, sunscreen and tents if you wish.
5. Event is TWO DAYS - Friday and Saturday with 50 cars max per day. If we don't have 50 cars per day - then more time on the track for who is there! I personally feel many of the MCA show folks might not attend because they do not want to get their cars dirty.
6. From 2-4pm each day Shelby American is scheduled to be at the track participating and offering ride along.
7. Gates open at 8am Friday and Saturday.
8. Fee is $50/day per driver
9. Participants are asked to help on the track as corner workers - just as we have done before.
10. Link to Event info for you to look at.... http://mustangclubofgreaterkc.com/

Anne and I will be there BOTH days - as a host / worker and participant. We hope you decide to come out and join us. The two days offers you more time on track if you want and a great Mustang National Show to see. Anne and I will be hosting visitors from GWCC at our house on Friday evening for BBQ and shrimp boil...plus the pool! Friday night at 7pm start!

On our MACC FB page in the "Files" section is the instructions on how to register for the event (STEP BY STEP) on Motosho. If you have any questions - please feel free to call me or e-mail me!

I'm registered for both days of the autocross. I'm going to get the same hotel we used before though. It's way closer if you're not going to the car show and also easier to get back out on the road after.
