Looking for water damage company?

Looking for suggestions on a company that specializes in water damage repair? We have water damage on the drywall ceiling in our downstairs guest bedroom. It only leaks when it rains so have mostly ruled out washer or plumbing issues. Leak is below our hearth room so feel the water could be coming in around the fireplace? Realize the trick is finding that entry point?? Any suggestions are appreciated! Mike P.

ARC does that type of work. I had them work on my basement when it flooded, I was satisfied with their work.

A good friend of mine, Vance Scherrer, works for ServePro. I talked to him and he suggested you do a few things.

1. Call a roofer to see if there is a flashing issue that is causing the leak.
2. Call Vance at 314-378-7157 and he can come out and discuss how they would handle the repairs, etc.
3. Even though you may have an insurance claim, DON'T call the insurance company until you're certain of the cause and that there is an actual claim. apparently just filing a claim, whether it turns out to be covered oor not, counts against you come renwal time.

Tim/Steve, thank you for the information. I called the company yesterday that replaced my roof a few years ago but have not heard back. I talked to ARC after seeing Tim's post and they have an estimator calling me to schedule a time to come out. Mike P.

I forgot to add that I did talk with Vance. They can do the damage repairs but only after the source of the leak is fixed. Hopefully the company that replaced my roof a few years ago gets back to me soon. Mike P.
