Gentlemen:

Danny at Winner's Circle had done excellent work for me, but a 2 hour round trip involving a trailer or someone following behind to take me home after dropping the car off is pretty inconvenient.

I know that MasterTech is close to me (Wildwood), but after the broken windshield incident I can’t go back there.

There has to be more than two mechanics in the metro area that can do quality work on these cars.

Can anyone offer any suggestions?

Steve

They sell houses in Bethalto. I'll show you around town someday, then it will be convenient.;)

Steve,

I am also on the prowl for a good one in West St. Louis county or St. Charles. I have a few names from a "car guy" relative of mine and will hope to visit them this week sometime. I am also going to talk to Harris automotive in Wentzville. Let me know if/when you find anything.

That don't stop the bad guys or me!!!!! If you can hide it well enough.

Steve,

Beir Brothers Performance in O'Fallon changed out my rear end gears in Cobra car when I first got it. Did a great job and worked with me on drop off and pick up. They have been around for a long time and do a lot of Ford stroker work. Maybe somebody else has had some experience with them.

One of our members owns Olympia Automotive in St Charles and he built his Factory Five, pretty sure he can handle most work. I will try and get his number if your interested. Gary has used Pur Performance in Cave Springs a few times. I've not used Bier Brothers for repair work, just know their speed shop isn't squat. They can always 'order' it for you. :( I will ask my buddy in Arnold and see what he says.

Thanks. That's 11 miles closer, but still 40 away. That isn't meant to be a smarta** comment, just a statement of fact. I appreciate the info.

Ok. I'll save the bad new for the other thread, but the good news is I was pointed to a good shop in our area. It ended up that I knew the guy.

Dave Jumper is a part owner with I believe his brother. I knew Dave in Highschool and he's always been working on cars. 16 plus years for Butler Chevolet before opening his own shop. He's next door to Morely Performance. Dave races dirt track on the weekends and he's familiar with setups like our cars. Between the Morley Performance and Jumper Automotive they should be able to handle about anything. I also know that Morely works on a lot of reace engines in this area and they have a full engine dyno in the shop. I beilieve it's mainly for carbed engines though. :(

For Mark it's about 20 minutes away from home. 44 to 141 south to SugarCreek.

Tim:

I'll take any information at this time.

Steve:

Olympia is owned by Jeff Grimshaw. He has been a good friend since high school and can possibly help. There are things he does not do but will be straight with you. He can do alignments, tire mounting, custom exhaust, welding, and much more. Make sure he knows you are from the club and that you know me. He built his FFR roadster and has helped on my Coupe.

Here is his site: http://www.olympiaauto.net/
636-477-8400 ask for Jeff
