Wondering why this would be so expensive. Seems to me it's just drywall work. I hear Dan is practically a professional now.:D
 
Well from what I see, they cut into the ceiling joists and created a box around the cab area so that the car can be lifted higher. Like Paul said, where there is a will and money, there is a way. It seems kind of restrictive to me, but hey it's his wurlitzer. As long as he's happy with it.

On a side note, I am DEFINITELY not a pro at dry walling. I have the will, but I'm cheap and slow. There's a reason I do what I do for a living. :)
 
If you are building the garage you could easily make that happen with the entire area open where the entire car could go up into the ceiling.Would require 2-3 trusses sandwiched together on each side of the car and a double or triple header in front and behind the car depending on the spans.only additional cost would be 3-4 extra trusses.
