Lawsuit - Round 2?

It's interesting to see it from Dave's perspective. Hopefully the court system will see it his way too. Unfortunantly, it seems that in the eyes of the law, when these things happen, you are guilty until you pay enough money to settle, or fight it long enough that the other side looses or gives up.

No offense to The Counselor, but our legal system is really in need of some overhaul.

You are right...it is cheaper to pay than litigate...only winners are the lawyers...again , no offence to your profession Dave.
I have experienced frivolous law suits both personal and business(usually w/c issues) and insurance companies look at the overall costs involved and make decisions on the $$$ not what is right or wrong. Big problem with that is my experience mod goes up based on the settlement, so the cost is not just the settlement but future premiums.
Oh well, I got that off my chest....I love this site !!!!

No "offence" or offense taken. :D Have you guys got any ideas on how to change the system for the better? Coke used to get sued all the time for "foreign" things mysteriously showing up in their products which they used to settle for meager sums until everyone jumped on the band wagon & Coke said enough is enough. Fought em all hard after they drew a line in the sand. Guess what happened? No more frivilous law suits. ATTN MODERATOR: move this post elsewhere if it is OT & needs its own thread.
