For those that were aware that Kathy's dad had terminal lung / brain cancer....he passed away Sunday morning after a long struggle.

We are headed to Jeff City for the funeral tomorrow.

He was an amazing, intelligent and very gifted man who will be sorely missed...

For those of you who enjoy many of the Conservation Department wildlife areas, parks, lakes, fish hatcheries, river access ramps and other wildlife facilities in Missouri...Charles Hooker headed the Conservation Dept's Civil Engineering Department for many years and was the primary designer/engineer for many of these resources enjoyed by present and future generations.

Sorry to hear of your loss. Your both in our prays. Even when you now its coming it still sucks. :(

Our prayers are with both of you. The passing of family is never easy, even when you know. Time to be strong and he's out of pain. It sounds like he was a good man and left his mark on this region. Thanks.

Sorry to hear, but glad he's no longer in pain. I know that was the biggest concern for Kathy. Please accept our condolences,

Tim & Linda

So sorry for your loss. It sounds like he had a full life and loving family. Our prayers are with you and Kathy.

Kerry and Kathy,

Sorry to hear the news. I lost my father in law the same way (lung cancer) in February. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

A sincere thank you to all who sent condolences.

We just returned home from the funeral today and are emotionally spent...

The procession of well wishers paying their respects at the funeral was totally unexpected...It took almost three hours for the line to pass by the casket and family.

Chuck touched a lot of people in his 82 years...and it was very apparent today the positive impact his life had on others.
