Ann wanted a small nick-nack shelf in the down-stairs bathroom.
She picked this one out to match the electric socket & switch plate in the bathroom, then we spent 1/2 hour figuring out where it should be located and centered on the wall. I measured to the exact mathematical vertical dead center, then held it in every horizontal position, while she rationalized why it should be higher and lower (this is a very scientific process).
Then she went shopping while I mounted it (this always helps projects go better too! this is the psychological process).
After using my calipers and level to ensure perfect center and dead-level, the shelf was mounted, all of my tools were replaced back in my toolbox, all plaster dust was removed, and the shelf was carefully cleaned and fingerprints removed from the glass.
Then I even decorated it for her!
She took one look at it, laffed and said "That's not staying there!"
I don't get it, I thought she really liked the SHELF!
