Received my insurance renewal today. I've been with State Farm for years. And a pleasant surprise - the cost dropped substantially: $270 per year - $80,000 agreed value. No mileage limitations
They've partnered with Hagerty and are now offering State Farm Classics+ for classics, replicas, hot rods, etc. Same coverage but at half the cost. Well, not the same coverage, they dropped the Road Service package, which I didn't purchase anyway. Other than that, the same policy. They realized their exposure is considerably less since the car(s) aren't driven as dailies and they're using Hagerty to do the evaluation and underwriting since they are more familiar with values on these types of vehicles.
The package also offers track day coverage as an option and I was also able to get "Car under construction" coverage for my GT40. (be aware, HomeOwners does not cover an unlicensed vehicle in your garage)
Apparently, not all State Farm agents promote this since it takes a little work on their part. If you need more information or a contact, let me know.
