Mount transponder on a long motorized belt that runs from the front to the rear of the car. While sitting in the grid, waiting to be called out, cycle the belt to move the transponder to the rear. Once on the track, cycle the belt to move the transponder to the front of the car.
Will pick up countless tenths of seconds per run.
