Not just making possession illegal... but forcing confiscation of all semi automatic rifles, pistols and shotguns.
It includes pump shotguns and classic rifles such as the M-1 Garand.
The Illinois State Police will charged with confiscation of all such weapons not voluntarily turned in by owners without compensation.
It is estimated that the bill has a 50-50 chance of passing.

Have not yet heard.

The legislation is supposed to be introduced tomorrow in the IL senate and the supporters are hopeful they can ram it through and get the governors signature by Friday.

If their efforts prove successful.... they will get people killed over this.
