...and lived to tell about it! Really it wasn't that bad!

Flew into Little Rock yesterday with one of my clients' construction manager. He and I drove up to Conway, AR for the day to look at our projects.

Took the scenic tour around the outskirts of LR on the way back to the airport. Saw the capitol, Bill Clinton Presidenital Museum...nice building BTW.

Flight was only 1/2 hour late getting home on the SW cattle bus due to weather...boy you really have to love that non-assigned seating (NOT).

I still love the state, the availability and opportunities for getting away from the City stuff. Job availability isn't as good, and depends on your entertainment needs, but plenty of things to do. I remember when I first met Linda and met her family. We were headed to Arkansas so Linda could "meet the folks". Her Mom was worried and asked about the roads if they were paved:D This is circa 1986. I still don't know why Arkansas get's a bad rap. One movie with Burt Reynolds and somebody squealing like a pig, and everybody associates that with Arkansas (wasn't even about/filmed there I don't think). One of our own get's elected President, and no one remembers/cares about that. It's a beautiful, but poor state. Yeah, people talk different than you, but so does Kellie Pickler from N. Carolina, or Mike Ditka from Chicago. Scott, you are lucky you made it back alive :D

Oh Dave Be careful what you write!

I guess we'll just bypass the whole thing about hogs squealing like a pig.

I have actually been going to Conway via Little Rock for my work since late 2006, and have always liked the smaller airport, and easy access around the City. The people I work with have always been great. It's just fun to talk about our cousins to the south.

Heck, I lived in Denver for 9 years, and eveyone knows that them folks from Boulder are all flannel wearing, granola eating, tree hugging liberals with PhD's! See I made a joke about a place I loved to live!
