A number of members use Private Messaging (PM) to send notes to other members. If you don't religiously check your inbox, there may be messages laying there you are unaware of. vBulletin does put a little icon up on your menu bar, but it is very nondescript and often overlooked. You can change your personal settings so you get either or both a pop-up box notification or an email sent to you when someone tries to contact you.

To do this
- Logon to the website and go to your "Settings" by clicking the word on the menu bar, upper right corner of the webpage - that will open your account settings.
- Scroll down the page, looking along the left margin for My Account/General Settings. Click on this link
- On the General Settings page, in the middle of the page is a box labeled Private Messaging. There are two 'radio buttons' to allow you to select if you want an email sent to you and/or if you want a pop-up box to show up if there is a message. Select these as you desire
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on "Save Changes"
