HERE IS HIS RESPONSE WHEN HE BACKED OFF FROM HIS DECISION TO LET THE MILITARY PAY FOR THEIR WAR INJURIES.

Bad press, including major mockery of the plan by comedian Jon Stewart, led to President Obama abandoning his proposal to require veterans carry private health insurance to cover the estimated $540 million annual cost to the federal government of treatment for injuries to military personnel received during their tours on active duty. The President admitted that he was puzzled by the magnitude of the opposition to his proposal.

"Look, it's an all volunteer force," Obama complained. "Nobody made these guys go to war. They had to have known and accepted the risks. Now they whine about bearing the costs of their choice? It doesn't compute.." "I thought these were people who were proud to sacrifice for their country, "Obama continued. "I wasn't asking for blood, just money. With the country facing the worst financial crisis in its history, I'd have thought that the patriotic thing to do would be to try to help reduce the nation's deficit. I guess I underestimated the selfishness of some of my fellow Americans."

Please pass this on to every one including every vet and their families whom you know.


How in the world did a person with this mindset become our leader? I didn't vote for him!

If this guy thinks he will ever get another vote from an Active Duty, Reserve, National Guard service member or veteran of a military service he ought to think it over.

If you or a family member is or has served their country please pass this to them. Please pass this to everyone. I'm guessing that other than the 20-25 percent hardcore liberals in the US will agree that this is just another example why this is the worst president in American history. Remind everyone over and over how this man thinks, while he bows to the Saudi Arabian king.

Bush had ordered the firing of the CEO of a major corporation, even though he had no constitutional authority to do so, would you have approved? If George W Bush had proposed to double the national debt, which had taken more than two centuries to accumulate, in one year, would you have approved? If George W. Bush had then proposed to double the debt again within 10 years, would you have approved? So, tell me again, what is it about Obama that makes him so brilliant and impressive? Yes, it is obvious that you are 100% correct. George W. Bush was wonderful and never did anything wrong, and Obama is an absolute failure and has never done anything right. Also, did you notice that global warming is a total hoax? After all, it is cold today. What more proof do you want? And don't forget that even if you can't find something wrong with what Obama does on a particular point you can always fall back on attacking the way he looks or move on to Nancy Pelosi or some other Democrat.
 
I'll agree... global warming is a hoax. Its a power and money grab. I studdied for my LEED AP for months (Accreditation to design "Green" buildings). And that is my determination. I even took a class at SIUE to help prepare for the test, the instructor could not tell me what happens with alot of the money you can spend on this.

Buying "green power credits", how does this help anyone, and there is absolutly no way to prove that additional green power was produced. In the end, you just bought the right to call it "green". This is just one of may examples.

I hate to say it, but my own conspiracy theory is that this is all part of a plan. Create a global catastrophy to get everyone under your thumb.

That there $700 billion stimulus has to be passed right away to save the economy - oh by the way - we won't be spending most of it for at least a year.

With the stimulus, unemplyment won't go over 8% - What I meant to say was it would't go over 18%.

By bipartisanship I mean you better f***ing agree with me or we'll cut you out of the process since we have the votes to do it. And G D it we're going to do it now because come the Novemebr 2010 election, we're going to lose so many seats we won't know what happened.

Karl quit your whining and face the facts 1. hasn't done crap except spend spend spend 2. mccain was a hero and a true american, you helped put a muslim in the office - stand up and be proud of that . And for gods sake quit whining like some little girl you almost make me cry.
 
Careful Mike, point out the facts, use your opinion, no need for personal attacks. Karl, I too am interested in what he has done right in your view? So far, I can't say that I've seen anything done right. What I can think of that he has done

- Cash for clunkers - was this successful in your mind?
- National Healthcare plan - you think this is the answer and that it's right?
- Government bailout - um, this kept GM and Dodge in business, but at what cost to us? Not sure this is successful, do you?
- Foriegn relations - we've all seen how he has handled this, bow down and kiss a$$, that's his foriegn policy.

So, what else HAS he done? Enlighten me PLEASE!

Only solution I can come up with at this time is:
Vote the incumbants out at the state and federal level....do so at the local level if needed.

I can't believe I'm about to write this - BUT - I think I'd rather have Bill Clinton back in the office - OMG ! He at least got the economy and budget on track. Better than GWB anyway. For me (and I'll assume the rest of us here - since Bill Gates is not yet a member of GCC) - It's The Economy Stupid !

Until that ship is righted - the rest of this stuff is just hot air. Without taxpayers (and a bunch of them) the health plan, the foreign policy, the bailouts, immigration, and all the rest of the issues will wash away with the tide. This country needs jobs, needs manufacturing, and needs cash flow. The only way to do that is to bolster the U.S. middle class - the "camshaft" of the world's economy. Get the middle class firing on all 8 cylinders and you'll see that everything is possible - even the liberal agenda if that's what you choose. Lose the middle class and you'll see anarchy in the streets. And fellas in case you haven't been watching, the middle class is dying on the vine right before our eyes.

There is proof of global warming. Where is the proof that it is a hoax? I'm not talking about someone's opinions.

No wonder U.S. companies have to hire foreign workers. Got to find intelligence somewhere else.

Neither are we.... Show us the "proof"....

An opinion from Al Gore, by your own qualifying statement....is not proof.

A sampling of growth rings in three trees in Siberia, by it's glaringly insufficient, minuscule sampling size is invalid for purposes of establishing an environmental trend.... It smacks of manipulated data...but certainly not proof. Come back with a sampling size of 10% and we'll talk.

Show us proof that the world is NOT just in a natural, cyclical period of temperature variation... That man-made conditions have CAUSED never before witnessed changes in environmental conditions, which are totally separate from natural variations.

Mankind does not posses that power. You could initiate a thermo-nuclear Armageddon and kill every human on the face of the earth....Yet in time, the planet would recover and rebound. The power of man pales in comparison to the power of nature. To contend that man can make long term irreversible changes to our environment which nature is powerless to correct strikes me as monumentally conceited.

Show us the proof... Because if you cannot show irrefutable PROOF, based on UNBIASED, accurate, repeatable data... then you are passing on another lie. And by your own definition you have earned the title that you so easily place on those who would disagree with you.

I find it interesting that when a liberal is challenged...rather than counter with facts...their reaction is to make a personal attack on those that would challenge them. To resort to school yard tactics of name calling. To question the intelligence and integrity of those who disagree with you. None on this board have challenged your intelligence yet you find it appropriate to challenge that of every member of this club.

We don't have to agree with one another. In fact, challenges to our long held beliefs can be healthy, as it forces us to think and evaluate why we believe as we do. But in all our discussions we should remain civil and respectful. Something you have failed to do here.

As I read your comments and try to remain open to your liberal views, you continue to undermine any respect I once held for you. By your own actions and comments in this thread you paint a picture of yourself that I find reprehensible.... and frankly... I'm tired of it.

Test Your Hypothesis by Doing an Experiment

With Global warming the steps were:

Draw a conclusion
Publish only Data to support conclusion
Communicate your results.

Are we really so bold to believe we can have this great of an affect on our entire planet? When a single major volcano eruption puts more co2 into the atmosphere than all the autos, trains, cars, planes, etc. ever created.

Karl - I asked for enlightenment on what Obama has done good while in office - You respond with some rant about Global Warming. Craig pointed out his OPINION on global warming, and you respond with a personal attack on his intelligence?!? Um, I now understand what a liberal is. Never answer questions with facts, only more questions. When a liberal can't provide fact based opinions, make something up. And always, always deflect a question with an answer that goes on some 3rd world tangent. I don't get it, just answer the question:

What has Obama done good while in office?

What facts do you have that global warming is real? Hard to believe on a 4 degree day. Man has not been around long enough recording the environment to make a statement that this is NOT just a normal cycle. I believe God knew we would screw it up and made an environment that repairs itself. Now, that's not to say we can go around and dump oil in the ocean/lake/streams/rivers at whim. But I do believe that the environment does repair itself.

Now, Karl, what say you?
