So are they 245 front and back? The idea with autocross is that everyone runs with the same temps in the tires. If your are cold then so are everyone elses. Because of this the A6 and V710's are popular for the soft compound which is sticky when cold. Find a co-driver to help you keep the heat in the tires next time you autocross. With a co-driver there is only a few minutes between runs and the tires stay grippy.
I currently use the Kumho XS 315 x 17 front and back. I believe I need to stagger the tire sizes a bit to balance out the grip.
Looks like I won't be able to do Putnam until the fall due to my work scheduale. I should have the car sorted out by then and be ready for some high speed racing. Is there ever enough clear track to be able to put down a hotlap to record a time or is the track always congested like in your video? I have never had to slow down on course for other traffic and am only used to driving "flat out" as they say. I have also never had to worry about the consequenses of driving the course too hard as there are no barriers or walls in autocross.
