If you're interested, like, sure you want to go interested, let Clois Harlan know. PM me for his e-mail address. I've already e-mailed him, should be nice a cool then ;)

Guys, this is the best chance you will ever get to run on a track with people you can trust in an environment where we can make up the rules. If you want to run the track backwards, that's fine. If you want to have passing, that's fine. You will be on the track with 5 cars max! That is all the track will allow under these conditions. If you want to go slow, that will be cool too. All of the drivers are personal friends of Clois and I and all of them are very respectful. The track owner also has agreed to do some coaching for those that want it. The only catch is that this is a pay in advance deal. Clois and I are setting it up but we are going to split the cost evenly between the drivers and we need to pay the track next week so if your in, send the money!

This look like fun. That track looks neat - like 2 straightaways. The week may conflict with school starting - I'll have to check. I'll have to get a few of my handling issues sorted out. Timing is everything. It's possible.

Steve,

It doesn't matter. You could run your tow vehicle if you want to.

You know, thats not a bad idea, how about one session in our trucks?

Dean:

The only info I find on this event is a half dozen postings in this thread. Is there another thread with more info? You mention "send the money" in one of your posts. How much?

Steve

It looks like the best we can do is about $300 for the weekend. I just talked to Clois and he is going to start a new thread over on Club Cobra. We will need 25 cars to do the event for $300 a person. I think we are solid at 13 with a lot of maybe's.

Steve, there won't be a lot of info on the event as it is just a private event, sort of an "invitational"! We will have the track rented for 2 days and we can run the event as the drivers see fit, within reason. I think you could get more practice here than at any other event. The big selling point for me is the fact that everyone at the event is part of our group and by the end of the weekend we will all know each other and we have no interest in swapping paint. It is just a good weekend to play around, break in a new car or get comfortable with a new skill set.

So, $300 to you or Clois? Let me know if ya'll need any help.

Tim, let's wait but it will go to Clois. We should have the details sorted out soon. We are just trying to make sure we have enough interest to rent the track.

That's Clois's address. We need to send our money in this week if we are all going. So far I think it is just Tim, Steve and myself. Clois is making the track deposit Friday so I would hate to have him spending out of pocket for to long.

Thanks,

Dean

Need two more people to round out the list of 25. Anyone? Look this is not a race, it is NOT for trophies, it is NOT for bragging rights. It is an opportunity to get some track time at YOUR comfort level. Please, if you are even thinking about it, get signed up already! :D

I'm excited about the fact that you are going to be there, Mark.

This is going to be a lot of fun for everyone.

I haven't. Kinda forgot about doing that, was waiting to make sure the event was actually scheduled first.

I am working with the Marriot inTulsa. I hope to hear back from them today. It should be something like $84 including breakfast. Clois will send out an e-mail when we get it all set up.
