No, not the cobra, lol. I sacrificed my 1988 T-bird Turbocoupe to get a people mover for my growing family. It was pretty cramped in the Escort, and I've been attempting to buy a new vehicle for several years only to be held back by news of layoffs, etc. We were originally planning on the Taurus-X (freestyle), but they are discontinued this year, and the look of the Flex had me on the fence (love it, hate it...love it...aaaaagh!). The only "have to have" for us was the color, "cinnamon", and the only one left was a well-equipped '09 at Lou Fusz ford in Chesterfield. Anyways, I finally bought it and now the family is happy. We even have room for our four-legged "furkids" now! :)

No way! And you are correct, the bird had the same MPG (combined) as the flex, so it was traded in (238,777 miles!), plus I got the ford "a" plan and big year-end discounts/rebates. Gets 24 mpg highway. I'm very satisfied!

Ah...you should have let me know you wanted one of these. We have one disassembled in about 1,000 pieces in the recycle area getting ready to be taken to the steel dump. LOL! The color was white though.

Ahhhhh, a flex kit, LOL! Seriously, though, is the interior stuff still there? Tow package?

Seriously, if I say anymore I risk my job, no kidding.

Let's just say car manufacturers do strange things with new models of other car makers in the spirit of "R & D"

Ahhhhhh, and did they find the super-secret thingamabob they were looking for? You know, that device that allows a company to survive without government hand-outs? Care to divulge the location so I can locate mine? I posess a govt. clearance, so you can tell me. :D
