To my surprise, Stewart Transportation called yesterday and said my GTM is already on the truck. Their estimated arrival is Saturday evening or Sunday morning. I know it is short notice (jeez, it's 3 weeks earlier than I expected) but anyone that wants to come by is more than welcome. I will throw some pizza and drinks down your neck. I probably won't know for sure until Friday sometime the exact arrival time and will post as soon as I know.

I was hoping to sell a bunch of Corvette parts by the time it got here, I have a garage full. If anyone knows any C5 fans, please let them know about Mike's Spring C5 Parts Clearance Sale.

Tim, had to clear it with the wifey before I posted it here. It's nice to know Big Brother is watching. ;) Hey, you are always looking for mods, how about buying some of these parts and building the first C5obra.

Mike

I see where we rank, um..clear it before posting here? Anyway, congrats on the early arrival. I've been hawking your parts, but no takers yet.

Exciting news Mike. It's looking like the Sunday brunch cruise is going to be a bust because of the weather any way so this will give us something to keep the spirits up. Keep us posted.

Keep us posted Mike, the arrival would be much more fun then building a new porch handrail for my mother-in-law!

I really hope the weather works in your favor..but not looking good.

good news for u, if u can't find any takers on the corvette parts u can always tape a quarter on them and pitch them out the window:D
guess i won't see it up in the Boston commons next week, big brother won't be going with me now my sister n law went into the hospital with heart complications so now i am recruiting roadtrippers:rolleyes:

Leo, sorry to hear about the complications, hope all goes well. Have a safe trip. Still haven't heard from Stewart about arrival date/time. Will post when I do. Mike

Stewart just called and they are 130 miles away. It is about 3:15 right now, so I figure by 5:30 they should be here. I know it's short notice but anyone that wants to stop by for a cold one is more than welcome. 300 Oakmont Farm Dr. Ballwin, Mo.

Wow cool Mike! Just saw your posts now, as my wife and I were at a conference all afternoon. Came home and made a little noise of my own in the garage. News at 11:00

It's here

I wanted to thank Tom K., Andy K., Big Leo, my Brother and my neighbor for their help on such short notice. I wish I could have planned it better and had more of you over but I was only given a couple hours notice. Anyone considering using Stewart Transport for anything, do it...they are great to work with. They did give me the option of having it delivered last night or this morning and they say there is no such thing as a stupid option. That's like asking my kids, "Boys, would you like to have Christmas on Christmas morning or wait until Jan 1st?" I'm fairly certain the angel on top of the tree would be replaced by the Father.:)

About the car, it is even cooler and lower than I thought. In one of the attached pictures, you can see Leo standing next to it. No, Leo is not some sort of monster ;), he's a big guy but the car is just very low.....41 inches low. There are 15 boxes of parts and a page of back orders. I believe I will be doing inventory all day after I say, "damn that thing is low" several hundred times and am done making vrrooom vrrooom noises next to the car.

Again, thanks for your help gentlemen, I couldn't have done it without you.

Mike

SuWeeeet!
I can only guess how tricked out you are going to make this toy.
Congrats on the new arrival.
Now, I'm just wondering. Does this make you the founding member of the St. Louis GTM Club???
Enjoy and good luck!

Mike,

Had to be in town for a family event last night and I saw Stewart Transport driving down Manchester. I started to oh and ah and Shannon asked what the issue was. I told her we could turn around and follow to your house. Congrats, I can't wait to see it.

was fun Mike can't pay u for all the stuff i touched right now but maybe later in beer, nice family and homestead too, i bet ur boy can't wait to get the keys from u when u aren't lookin:D well in a couple days i will be 'bigleo transport'... "FFR or bust" weather conditions are going to be wet at times but they say Sat. the 4th will be 50 and sunny but we know what weather forecasts are, in and around st lu... happy wrenchin':D

Cool! And all the hardware on the back wall received for your last ride will be the reason I know this one will be just as good. First start in September you think? :D

Congratulations again Mike, glad we could be there to see it arrive and don't forget to call when you need a hand moving something (even Corvette parts).

Tom,
Thought I was going to have to call to get some help removing the body. Then I realized I have two Boys with muscles in the house. The 3 of us were able remove it without any problems.

Skip, thanks for stopping by yesterday!!

An open invitation to all, please feel free to put my house on your destination list as you are out cruising. You are all welcome to stop by anytime.

Mike

Some wife you have there giving up both bays of the garage. :D
