We’re only two days away. Even if you’re not racing, come on down and join the club for a fun evening out.

Ladies and Gentlemen: Start your engines!

We are set for Kart racing on Thursday March 6th at 7:00 pm. http://www.polepositionraceway.com/st-louis/directions-and-hours/. There is paperwork for each driver to sign, so try to show up between 30 and 15 minutes prior to the start. I will be at the track at 6:30 pm. They will provide helmets but if you have your own you will want to bring it.

For those that are interested – we can meet at Helen Fitzgerald’s (in the bar) before the race for a drink and wings / sandwich. Helen’s is 5 minutes from the track. http://www.helenfitzgeralds.com/DIRECTIONS.aspx I’ll be there at 5:00.

Can't wait to do some bump drafting. Mark E - Shake and Bake baby! :)

Sooo, hot water heater on the blink.....cleaned the thermocouple, re-installed, but can't keep the pilot lit. Part ordered, won't be here until tomorrow afternoon. So, don't know if I will be there or not now. :(

Hopefully Tim can make it.

Mark's "ringer" has bowed out so there is an open slot.

The Lotus guys have 11. GCC 10. C'mon guys - we should be able to get one more driver.

Part just arrived, repairman should be done by 3....so I think I'm good. Paul will be there, don't think he originally signed up, I'm sure we can recruit him. Then Paul can be like Ricky Bobby - "I just wanted to share a piece of personal information with you. I've got a...a chubby right now because THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST AWESOME EXPERIENCES OF MY LIFE BECAUSE I'M GETTIN' TO DRIVE A RACECAR I CAN'T BELIEVE IT OH MY GOD!!!" :D

Ringer

Hey...Paul is our RINGER! He's even going to mount his helmet cam backwards just so a few Lotus drivers can get in the video!!;):D

Glad you should be able to make it Tim!

Repair not going as planned. We can't get all the damn water out of the cold water side to sweat a connection.....now going to compression/crimp type.

Thanks to everyone that turned out for last night's event. Hopefully everyone had a great time. I know I did.

If anyone got pictures please share them. If I get any from the STALLS folks I'll post them over here.

Thanks Tim. Not sure what happened to my post. It was there when I went to bed.

It was fun racing against some other accomplished drivers. Vicki was obviously out of our league on the driving skills. Paul and Tim were also very fast. I will edit and post the Cobra club final soon. Jim Clark gave me a good run in the final. We went wide open into the chicane side by side twice which was really fun. By the time Jim and I were done battling for 2nd Vicki was gone.

Thanks Steve for organizing this event! It was a lot of fun. It would be cool to try something similar on a Test and Tune event locally with our respective real cars. They are trying to put one together for August. I think you would see Joe F rise to the top of the leader board. In his Lotus he has no fear!

Here is our final qualifier. Notice that Paul skillfully punted me into the turn 3 wall when I tried to take him on the outside. He blocked me very well for a few laps but I finally set him up and got the pass made. Well done Paul, that was really fun! The whole time I was playing bumper cars with Paul I was fully expecting to get rammed from behind by Tim taking us both out. Working your way through traffic was way more fun than running alone. At one point Dan and I traded paint for a while and I never did get by him.
