GCCr's to RNG?

George posted a pic of the track over at Club Cobra, Nice looking track

Well Happy Birthday.

Pretty excited about it. Hopefully a few more GCCr's will go up too.
This year, I hope to concentrate more about my driving, and unwind from work (which really hurt in 2009).
I think the drive up - and total disconnect will really help me get into that zen.

So - let the big dog eat!

I hope more will come out and play. Gateway is a very tight and dangerous track. This is a totally different experience. If you like Gateway, you won't want to leave this place!

Ok, sort of got approval to go. Heck, Linda may go, but she wants to drive a go kart, and a golf cart if anyone is going to have one there :D Soooo, I thought I would go online and register, but, can't do it online. Um, got to do it the old fashioned way  Will be making my hotel reservations tomorrow before they sell out.

Dean - running slicks this year, does that put me in BB Prepared or something?

Dean, you mentioned RNG may be cancelled due to lack of registrations. To maybe give you a reason or two why I didn't register. One is I'm limited to the number of events I can attend and the amount of money I can spend on them. I had picked Putnam because of the distance and cost. I think Mark nailed it when he said that there are many more track event opportunities available than ever now. RNG is one of them. I hate to see a 'traditional' event cancelled due to lack of interest, or, is it lack of funds due to the economy? Mine is the latter. Bought a trailer this year, equipped it and spent money on getting setup to travel to events. Hope you understand, and thanks for your efforts on the event.

Tim, I do understand. I think the location is a problem and you are right, there is a lot of competition out there for you racing dollars. It might come back next year in a more central location. I am just a little tired of all the work. I just don't have that much fun anymore and I want to be just a driver and enjoy the event again.

I really think you need more help too. Maybe a year break and attending other events will give you ideas to change/improve the event.
